Executive Director

"My name is Germaine Dignan and I am the Sr. Executive Director at Sunrise of Mountain Lakes. I have been in the Senior Living industry for over 18 years. I began my Sunrise journey in 2011. During the past 10 years, I have had the chance to travel to many of our communities to support throughout the US.

I enjoy being in the community with the residents listening to their stories of long ago and of their families. Recently, with the pandemic one of the best days was when I brought a resident the iPad for her scheduled facetime call, her face lit up when she saw her daughter on the screen, my heart melted. I enjoy making their days meaningful.

The best part about working at Sunrise is the family-oriented community - not only with your residents and families but with your team. I love my job!

In my spare time, you can find me with my family, baking, at the beach, on the lake fishing or boating, gardening, woodworking or remodeling a house."

Director of Sales

"My name is Janel Doherty and I am the Director of Sales for Sunrise of Mountain Lakes. I’ve been working in senior living since 2015 and cannot picture myself doing anything else.

My favorite part of my job is building lasting relationships with our residents and families. I really enjoy gaining new perspectives from the residents and learning about their triumphs and advice on a life well lived.

When I’m not working, I enjoy fishing, kayaking, hiking and spending time outdoors with my husband."

"My name is Jazzle Estrella and I am thrilled to be part of Sunrise of Mountain Lakes as the Director of Sales. I have been in the healthcare industry for 10 years and became part of the Sunrise family in 2018.

It is always a delight to witness residents flourishing in our communities. A constant reminder that I am where I am meant to be-championing the quality of life for all seniors.

In addition, the best part of working at Sunrise is the support and growth opportunities the company provides.

In my spare time, I enjoy soaking up the sun with family and friends and getting inspired by listening to podcast and watching Ted Talks."

"My name is Jacqueline O’Connell and I am the Resident Care Director for Sunrise of Mountain Lakes.

As I start my new journey with Sunrise, I bring decades of healthcare experience in both assisted living and long-term care. My nursing journey has led me through doors and opportunities to meet amazing residents, their families, and colleagues.

When away from work, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, walking, gardening, and reading."

"I’ve been with the Sunrise family for 23 years. My favorite part of my job is that I am doing what I truly love and enjoy.

The best part at working at Sunrise is the residents. Always having a love and compassion for the senior population. Striving to deliver the best experience for the residents, families, and the team members.

In my spare time, I like to fish and travel with my husband, read thriller books, camp, try out different eateries and spend time with family and friends."

My favorite part of the job is organizing and executing the daily activities and making it a point that residents are engaged. The best part of working for Sunrise is the interaction with the residents, and seeing the appreciation on their faces.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching football/soccer, trying different cuisines, and traveling."

Business Office Coordinator

"My name is Ivory Downs, and I am the Business Office Coordinator at Sunrise of Mountain Lakes. I started my career at Sunrise of Paramus as a Care Manager in 2005 and I had the opportunity to work in different communities and roles. I was a Medication Care Manager promoted to a Lead Care Manager, decided to change paths to the office setting and worked as a Concierge, Activity Assistant, Wellness Clerk, and promoted to Business Office Coordinator for Sunrise of Morris Plains in 2017. Now here I am helping with opening our new community in Mountain Lakes.

My favorite part of the job is seeing the smiles on both our residents and team members faces every day. The best part about working for Sunrise is how much the team is like one big family. Not only are we dedicated to providing quality care to all our seniors, but we also care for each other.

In my spare time, I love being with my family and friends, whether we are traveling, playing games, going out to eat, or just hanging out at home."

Dining Services Coordinator

"My name is Jacob Acuna, and I am the Dining Service Coordinator at Sunrise of Mountain Lakes.

I have been part of the Sunrise team for four wonderful years. Prior to coming to Sunrise, I worked in Montclair area local restaurants as a Head Chef. The best part of my job is to see our residents joyful around the table during every meal service.

In my spare time, I love to cook with my 4 children and go to local farmers markets and try new flavors."


Kelly RoqueKelly Roque

Concierge

“My name is Kelly Roque (pronounced Row-Kay) and I am the Concierge at Sunrise of Mountain Lakes.

I’ve worked with Sunrise since the end of September 2020 and was the part time evening/weekend concierge at Sunrise of Wayne. I have worked for several organizations and senior living communities in variety of positions, and I love connecting with residents and their families.

At Sunrise, all employees regardless of title are referred to as “team members.” That was new to me and I think it makes staff feel like an important part what happens here each day!

When I’m not working, I’m teaching yoga and fitness classes, reading and doing anything at all with my four children."

Maintenance Coordinator

"My name is Adam Socha, and I am the Maintenance Coordinator at Sunrise of Mountain Lakes. I started working at Sunrise of Morris Plains in the fall of 2004 until June 2011 when I transferred to Sunrise of Randolph and have now accepted the MC position here at Mountain Lakes.

The best part of my job is the opportunity to help our residents and ensure that they live in a safe environment. The best part of working at Sunrise is feeling supported. I can always count on other facility management team members and my coworkers in emergency situations.

In my free time, I enjoy working in my yard at home doing small projects. I also like to go hiking and in the soccer season I do enjoy watching Bundesliga games."
