We’re welcoming brighter days while continuing to promote health and safety.
"I have worked in assisted living for over 25 years holding various positions. I started my career at Huntington Lodge as a recreation assistant on May 23, 1996. My favorite part of my job is the diversity of every single day and being able to pivot and solve whatever is thrown my way with a smile. The best part of the job is making our seniors feel safe, secure, and loved. I also enjoy connecting with families to assure everyone’s needs are met.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, especially on the boat in the Summer. I also enjoy volunteering and I'm currently the Alumna Advisor for Tri-Delta at Adelphi University, The Key Club Liaison for Lynbrook Kiwanis (2020 President and 2017-2019 Secretary), and I donate blood every 3 months."
"Prior to returning to Sunrise, I was an Assistant Director at an MLTC. Before that, I worked at Sunrise from 2009 to 2011 as a Care Manager. My favorite part of my job is being able to keep our residents as healthy as possible while bringing a smile to their faces. The best part is the trust that we are able to build with the families and residents.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially taking family trips!"
"I have worked in assisted living for over 14 years. My favorite part of my job is being able to use my compassion and empathy to connect with residents and families. The best part about working at Sunrise is knowing we are able to provide a supportive environment to our families during difficult times.
In my spare time, I love being a Nana to my grandchild and spending time with my family making memories. Being outdoors and breathing in fresh air is where I find serenity."
"I started my career at Sunrise as a care manager in Los Angeles. My love for the East Coast brought me out here and I found myself assisting with activities in New Jersey. I pursued an opportunity at a different community in New Jersey as a Terrace Club coordinator with Sunrise. When I was looking for a leadership role with Sunrise, I found myself at North Lynbrook as an Activities & Volunteer Coordinator.
I like working here not just for the picturesque grounds, but I also get to make meaningful connections with our residents, their family members, and the greater community allowing everyone to bond together here in Lynbrook."
"Prior to Sunrise, I worked for Pall Corporation as a Payroll Coordinator and Lacoste as an Import Manager. My favorite part of my job is assisting the residents and their family members, the diversity of each day, and the ongoing professional development.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family."
"I have been cooking professionally for over 11 years and actually did my first internship for culinary school at Sunrise of Dix Hills. My favorite part of my job is seeing all the residents enjoying the food we make. The best part of working at Sunrise is that we treat everyone in the building like a family.
In my spare time, I like to watch movies and binge watch tv shows with my family."
"Before entering into Sunrise, I had worked in the Hotel and Resort industry as a Chief Engineer and running the Maintenance Crew. My job plays a big part in the community. My favorite part is seeing family members and residents satisfied when all their maintenance issues are resolved. The compliments of how satisfied they are make my days better and keeps me going. The best part of working at Sunrise is the teamwork and family feel. We all are here for a purpose and it's to make sure everyone in this community feels like they are at home. We are one big family and even with the ups and downs, we always push each other to become better as a team.
My spare time is priceless. I try to keep active by going to the gym and experiencing new things. I love food and will try every restaurant. On my days off, I spend as much time as I can with my daughters, Myah and Alyssa. They are my world and I make sure to spend most of my time with them. We travel and I try to show them the outside world."
