Executive Director

"Prior to my role as the Executive Director, I was an Exercise Physiologist with a focus on geriatrics for 10 years. What I love most about Sunrise of North Wales is our staff. I enjoy coming to work each day to see our fantastic staff and residents. I truly enjoy building relationships with each member of our team and being a friend to all residents. 

In my spare time, I cherish the time I spend with my husband and son. I also enjoy cycling, hiking, baking, and cooking. One of my signature dishes is lasagna!"

"Prior to joining the Sunrise Family, I worked in the non-profit industry as a marketing and fundraising professional for 4 years. My favorite part about my job is simply being a presence in the community and pitching in where needed. Working at Sunrise of North Wales allows me to meet residents from all walks of life, something that I consider extremely rewarding.

In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, reading, and traveling with my husband and daughter. One of my favorite places that I have traveled to so far is Kauai, Hawaii."

"I come to Sunrise with nearly 25 years of experience in many fields including finance, human resources, and administrative work. My favorite part of Sunrise is the team members and the community environment.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy putting together Shutterfly books and cooking.

Resident Care Director

"I have been a nurse for over 26 years. I began my career as an LPN working with adults who had developmental disabilities. I transitioned into skilled nursing in both Philadelphia and Dallas, Texas hospitals. I worked in Critical Care, Mental Health, and Rehabilitation specialties. My calling, however, was serving the elderly. 

My favorite part of my job is having the opportunity to be a part of a resident’s life, especially when they share their wealth of knowledge and life experiences. I find it rewarding to assist them in their personal care, and I enjoy building a relationship with them and their families. The best part about working for Sunrise is knowing that I work for a company whose mission statement and philosophy align with mine. Sunrise is always striving to 'champion the quality of life of all seniors.'

Most of my spare time is spent with my husband and son, who plays for a travel soccer team, which keeps us busy. I like reading books of different genres such as historical fiction, science fiction, biographies, and mysteries. Additionally, I try to find time to exercise and further my medical and administrative knowledge by taking career enhancing classes."

"I come to Sunrise with over 22 years of experience in the senior living and human services industry with an expertise in geriatric psychology. What I enjoy most about my job is being an advocate for families and residents. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading historical fiction books. I am also a huge coffee fan; especially wawa coffee!"

Activities and Volunteer Coordinator

"I have been enacting 'Live with Purpose' at Sunrise for over 6 years: first at Sunrise of Dresher, then at Haverford, and now at North Wales. With 12 plus years leading activities for both personal care and Reminiscence folks, I believe Sunrise leads the way. Our guiding principle, 'Enhancing the lives of seniors everywhere' is a position I have taken well before I joined the Sunrise team. I am a certified dementia practitioner, chair tai chi leader, and validation worker. 

Activities at Sunrise are not about filling time. They are about spaces for our residents to create, learn new things, and enjoy their daily lives. Art, music, learning, and giving back to our community at large are all aspects of our programming that I wholeheartedly embrace and motivate. Additionally, exercise to keep bodies moving is paramount to my goals. Creating safe spaces for residents to socialize and renew their purpose is vital.

As a former chef and caterer, cooking is my passion in my spare time. I love the Philadelphia Art Museum, MoMA, live theater, and rock and roll."

"At the time that I started working here, I just started school majoring in Healthcare Administration in hopes of growing with the company. My initial role within this community was as the concierge. I learned and experienced so much from my coworkers, coordinators, residents, and their families. I dabbled in all different departments throughout the community jumping in wherever help was needed. In August 2020, I finally graduated from school and in June of 2021 I was promoted to Personal Care Coordinator. What I enjoy most about my role is that I get to be more hands on with our residents and their families, continuing to build a strong lasting relationship all the while providing the best quality care to our residents.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time my son Angelo and my family."

"I have worked in the senior living industry for the past 10 years and before this I worked in the Restaurant Industry for 10 years. I really appreciate Sunrise’s approach to technology changes and I appreciate how they are always working to improve systems to enhance each resident’s quality of life (as it relates to dining). 

When I am not at the community, I enjoy spending time with my son, listening to music, and appreciating art."

"I started working at the community in 2018. I worked for 20 years as a production foreman at Ford and have experience as a contractor for 6 years. MY favorite part of Sunrise if the team members and the community engagement. 

In my spare time, I enjoy being with family and spend time renovating houses."

"I started with the community in 2015 as a part time concierge. In 2017, I moved up to the role of Lead Concierge. The most enjoyable part of my position is meeting and greeting the residents and their families. I enjoy seeing the smiles on family faces, knowing that their love ones are truly being taken care of.  

In my spare time, I enjoy family time with my husband, children, and grandchildren."

"I was a homemaker and volunteered at my son’s preschool almost every day. While there, we did a lot of arts, crafts, and learning activities. I know that I could do activities because that was something that I already enjoyed doing, and I love people, so it was a win-win situation. I enjoy being able to be a part of our residents’ lives and encouraging them to do things that they have either never done or have not done in a long time.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, arts, crafts, and shopping!"
