“I came to Sunrise with 15 years in the senior care world serving in roles ranging from caregiver to hiring and training caregivers, to managing care. During my time in the field, I regularly crossed paths with Sunrise community leaders. Every time I walked into a Sunrise, I immediately noticed the smiles on resident faces, witnessed the quality interactions between team members and residents, and was impressed with the collaboration between sister Sunrise communities.
The best part of working for Sunrise is the opportunity to build relationships with our residents on a daily basis. I truly desire to brighten their days and increase their sense of wellbeing. As the Director of Sales, I enjoy introducing families, professionals, and the community to Sunrise. It is a deeply satisfying to offer hope and potential solutions for difficult circumstances. Outside of work I love spending time with my family, travelling with my husband or girlfriends, being part of a woman’s investment club, and mentoring younger people as leaders. I also enjoy speaking for faith-based groups and local churches along, with serving on the board of The Senior Care Coalition. I completely understand our families I too, spend time navigating care for my older relatives.”
"I joined the Sunrise family in 2007 as a designated care manager. I have been a Reminiscence Coordinator since 2015. I like seeing my residents smile and laugh each day. At Sunrise, I can empower my care giving team to champion the quality of life for our residents.
I love coming to work each day and living the Sunrise values to their fullest. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my four children.
“I was born in Ethiopia but came to America in 2001. At the age of 17, I joined the Job Corp while finishing high school and then went to business school. I knew I wanted to do something different and started searching for other options.
I started my career with Sunrise in 2008 as a Care Manager. Four years later, I was trained and became a Med Care Manager. I have always believed in treating all residents and family members like they are part of my family. Working with residents who struggle with memory loss has taught me to enjoy the little moments in life, be patient, and always be understanding and empathetic.
During my free time, I enjoy reading self-help books that challenge me to grow and become a better version of myself.”
"I started my career at Sunrise Senior Living in the spring of 2017 as an Activities Assistant and became the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator in the fall of 2018.
I find joy in exploring the different possibilities, creating opportunities, and witnessing moments in our residents’ day to day lives where they find fulfilment and flourish in our community. It is incredibly rewarding to be working with our seniors, especially in getting to know each one of them and learning their life stories.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time outdoors going on bike rides and hikes, camping, reading, and traveling."
"I have been a CNA for over thirteen years. I started my career with Sunrise of Northgate in August of 2015 as a designated care manager. I have been a Lead Care Manager for over a year and also serve as a Med Tech. I like coming to work because I like seeing the residents happy and well taken care of. My favorite part of working at Sunrise of Northgate is getting to know the residents and friendly staff.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, watching football, and playing basketball."
