We’re welcoming brighter days while continuing to promote health and safety.
Please allow us to introduce you to some of our fantastic team members who work each day to make our community a wonderful place to call home.
"My passion for championing quality of life for seniors started 8 years ago as a fitness instructor working with Seniors. Prior to my career at sunrise, I played professional basketball for 8 years in the WNBA and all over Europe. I began my career with Sunrise in 2014 as an Activities & Volunteer Coordinator at Sunrise of Beverly Hills. I soon grew into a Reminiscence Coordinator for our memory impaired residents in 2016. My drive for bringing the best to my residents extended into growing into an Executive Director in which I have held my Residential Care for the Elderly (RCFE) license as an administrator for 2 years now.
My favorite part of my job is nurturing my team member’s growth, and bringing out the best in my residents. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, playing basketball, going to the local beaches, and traveling - Fuji & Israel being my 2 favorite experiences!"
“I feel truly blessed to be able do what I do. Whether it’s the casual chats with residents or by being a resource to families to find solutions, Sunrise was the best career choice I have ever made. It brings me great joy advocating for the benefit of all seniors.
Before joining Sunrise, I worked in in Sales & Marketing for a variety of organizations from aerospace to small business to nonprofit I attribute my involvement in a variety of South Bay community organizations including chamber, the arts and senior advocacy as playing an important role in my overall personal growth. I am an alum of Loyola Marymount University and enjoy music and spending time with my husband and small but big personality Malti-poo, Corky.”
"Since joining the Sunrise Senior Living team over 14 years ago, I’ve embraced their mission “To champion the quality of life for all seniors”. I wholeheartedly believe that we are all different, and life is so much better when we are met on an individual level and our issues aren’t generalized. This is the reason why I pride myself in getting to know the likes and dislikes of our residents so that I can better meet their specific needs. I wake up each day optimistic with a smile on my face knowing that I’m doing what I love most, and that’s caring for and restoring the dignity in our elderly.
When I am off, I enjoy spending time with my daughters, Mya and Quaneshia, and husband, Rapheal. We enjoy playing board games, cooking, laughing, and talking. The best part of life is time spent with my family."
