We’re welcoming brighter days while continuing to promote health and safety.
"I have been with Sunrise since 2002! I have worked in different positions starting as a Care Manager and I have moved up over the years. Prior to joining the team here at Sunrise of Rockville in 2017, I worked as a wellness Nurse at Sunrise of Columbia for 10 years. I’m thankful to Sunrise for the opportunity they provide for team members to grow in their roles.
The favorite part of my job is providing the best care to our residents. It gives me great satisfaction to see our residents happy with the care provided to them by our care and wellness team. Keeping our families informed and happy with the care we provide goes a long way in championing the quality of life for our seniors.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog. I also love gardening and cooking."
"I started my career working with seniors by volunteering at Sunrise in high school. That experience as well as working with my grandmother through the journey of Alzheimer's fueled my passion for working with seniors. When I started working here at Rockville, I was a Life Enrichment Manager in our Reminiscence Neighborhood (which I LOVED and did for four years). Since being promoted into my new role I have expanded into working with seniors in both Assisted Living & Reminiscence which has truly allowed me to be creative and find new ways to connect with people from all walks of life.
My favorite part of working at Sunrise is feeling the joy and purpose the residents get from activities. Whether it’s sharing valued memories when having our group discussions or seeing residents eager and ready to start exercise- seeing the residents happy, makes me happy. The best part of working for Sunrise is the connections I have formed (and continue to form) with residents, staff, and family members.
Outside of work, I enjoy painting and hiking in the great outdoors."
"In my time with Sunrise, I have been the Wellness Nurse, Reminiscence Coordinator, and Resident Care Director. I served 6 years in the Army and went to nursing school at Fort Sam Houston and Fort Bragg. My favorite part of Sunrise is hearing the residents life stories, making sure that the residents have a fun day and are well cared for.
In my spare time, I like to grill, spend time with the family, go to waterparks, and play video games with my son."
"I have worked as a cook for over 16 years, and have experience as a server, lead cook, and coordinator for various senior living environments. My favorite part of working at Sunrise is making our residents' days better by cooking food that they enjoy.
In my spare time, I like exercising (especially Zumba!), travelling, and hanging out with my family."
