Resident Care Director

"I served as a Sunrise Wellness Nurse for nearly a decade, and in that role I had the opportunity to ensure that Sunrise residents have a better quality of life. My belief in the company was solidified when my grandmother moved into a Sunrise community and she was able to experience the care and dedication the team provided my own family member.

I also enjoy working with residents’ families and helping provide them a peace of mind that their loved one is being cared for in the way they deserve."

Reminiscence Coordinator

“I have over a decade’s worth of experience providing care for those living with Dementia, and I have been with Sunrise since October of 2013.

Five years ago, I began my Sunrise Journey with Sunrise of Edina, starting as a Care Manager and later, Lead Care Manager and Med-Care Manager. I took on these positions all while dipping my toes into housekeeping, dining, nursing, administrative work, and giving tours whenever I could. Eventually, it led me to becoming the Reminiscence Supervisor for Sunrise of Minnetonka. All of my experience over the past years has lead me here to Sunrise of Roseville. Becoming the Reminiscence Coordinator was nothing short of a milestone obtained!

My favorite part about working for Sunrise is and always will be the residents—it truly brings me so much joy to serve those living with dementia, to see their smiles, and of course to learn something new every day!”

“I’ve been with Sunrise of Roseville since 2014, and in that time, I have taken on many different roles. I first started my journey as a part of the care team, so I know firsthand the dedication, love, and compassion our residents receive from our staff.

The best part of my job is being able to continue the work in helping individuals and their families navigate through the senior living process.  I understand the decision-making process that families go through and I enjoy being their resource.

I am proud to work for a company that truly believes in championing the lives of all seniors. There is nothing better than introducing new seniors to our Sunrise family and seeing them be successful!”

Activities & Volunteer Coordinator

"I have been an Activity Coordinator since 2003 and have been in my role at Sunrise of Roseville since 2017. The unique “Live with Purpose” programming with its 8 signature programs is what sets Sunrise apart from all the rest. I love my job- getting to know each resident, doing small, intentional groups with them such as Book Club & Troopons or larger Special Events like the Ladies Tea or the Summer Picnic.

I believe in the Sunrise mission- championing the quality of life for all seniors- and am proud to be a part of the resident centered activity program that has something for everyone.  Plus, I get to work with a fantastic team, both front line & leadership, that often times make me realize that if you choose a job you love, you’ll never work a day in your life!"

Business Office Coordinator

"I’m Michael Mattson, Business Office Coordinator at Sunrise of Roseville.  I started at Sunrise of Roseville in 2002 as a care manager.  I also worked as a lead care manager and administrative assistant before being promoted to my current position in the business office.  I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and have remained in Minnesota my entire life.  I had worked in other long-term care settings prior to working at Sunrise but, I remember when I began working here how impressed I was with Sunrise’s philosophies, and how they fit in with how I naturally think, and I think that’s why it’s been such a good fit for me all these years."

Dining Service Coordinator

"I joined the Sunrise team last December 2017.  I have been in the hospitality business for over twenty five years. I love to bring great food and smiles to all that have dined at my tables. Working in Senior Living is a whole new world to me. When I come to work each day, I come into their homes. Food is our livelihood. It’s personal. I better make sure we get it right, make it good and hope the residents love it!"

Housekeeping Supervisor

"I have been at Sunrise Senior Living since 2011 and enjoy the company of our residents every day. My goal is to make every resident smile at least once a day.

I work hard everyday painting rooms, plumbing, fixing things throughout our building, driving my residents to activities in the Sunrise bus, cooking, serving and cleaning up in the kitchen, and traveling to our three nearby communities to help them out, too.

In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, playing golf, traveling, and spending time with my grandchildren. They are my pride and joy!

I have great memories of when my husband Jerry and I were in the 1998 and 2001 Royal families for St. Paul Winter Carnival.

I love my job, the best part is coming to work to see our residents."
