“I have been with Sunrise Senior Living since 2004. Prior to joining Sunrise, I worked in skilled nursing and gained experience working in activities, social services, and as director of sales. 

I love making a difference for our residents and team members. At Sunrise, excellent teamwork is cultivated and we receive fantastic support from our leadership teams. 

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, boating, and reading.”

“I have been in the field of aging services since 2007, and am happy to have relocated back to San Diego to be part of the Sabre Springs team! I am originally from Massachusetts and earned my bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation from Springfield College. I spent many years working in the activities and recreation departments of healthcare and residential communities before deciding to further my education. While living and working in Chicago, where I spent the last four years, I continued my studies and graduated this past May with my master’s degree in gerontology from the University of Massachusetts Boston, online.

I enjoy working with our residents, their families and our team; I love what I do and am happy to be part of Sunrise.

When I’m not at work, you can find me at the beach or somewhere outside! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends; I love to travel and watch football.”

I’ve been with Sunrise since March of 2013; but have been in the senior living industry since 2003. I attended Cal State San Marcos and obtained my degree in Human Development. I’ve held various positions within my career from concierge to area manager of sales. My passion is being able to help educate families and find solutions during their transition to senior living. 

At Sunrise, my favorite part of my job is being able to share Sunrise’s principles of service and seeing them executed on a daily basis. 

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my friends and family.

“Prior to joining Sunrise Senior Living, I worked in an assisted living and memory care community as a medication technician. I started working as an assisted living and memory care coordinator in 2010. I received a recognition award from CALA: California Assisted Living Association for Outstanding Services to the Residents.

I work with passion and respect and care deeply about my residents and team members. The best part of my job is helping promote residents’ independence and encouraging them to maintain their optimal functionality.”

“I am originally from Long Island, New York and am happy to relocate to San Diego to join the Sunrise of Sabre Springs team. I have enjoyed working at Sunrise since 2014. It’s great to be a part of something that I truly believe in; Sunrise takes excellent care of the residents and team members.

I have a background in French Mediterranean cooking. I enjoy incorporating the basics of those styles into home-style and fusion cooking. I have experience as a chef working in restaurants in Long Island, Manhattan, Connecticut, and California. My favorite dish to cook is paella, and my favorite cookbook is Cook’s Ingredients.

When I’m not working I enjoy, surfing, biking, hiking, and exploring new foods and flavors at farmers markets and restaurants. I look forward to opening this building and using my talents in this brand new, state-of-the-art kitchen.”

"I am a licensed general contractor. Before Sunrise, I previously worked for one of the top 250 general contractors in the country. My experience in the construction/building industry began in 2003 as a lead carpenter, and in 2008, I acquired my license. Since then, I have owned and operated my own construction business and worked as a superintendent for another contractor. I am excited to be transitioning into this new position and look forward to getting to know our residents.

I have been married to my wife Diane for more than seven years and have two amazing little girls, Francesca and Gabriella.  When I'm not working or spending time with my family, I like to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors."

"I have been working in the senior living industry for over 10 years now, both skilled nursing and assisted living. I graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in business administration and marketing, so the beginning of my work career was sales. After staying home and raising my six children for many years I knew when I was ready to enter the workforce again where I wanted to be. I followed my heart and started as an activity/social service director, which eventually landed me here at Sunrise! I feel I have the perfect job! It keeps me busy and very active but I love the residents and making them happy!

When I am not at work you can usually find me with my growing family, as next year I will be blessed with my third grandchild! I also like to cook, bake, camp, walk, dance, the beach, mountains, friends, and biking."
