“I have more than 12 years of experience with Sunrise Senior Living. Prior to joining Sunrise, I worked in skilled nursing and gained experience working in activities, social services, and as director of sales.
I love making a difference for our residents and team members. At Sunrise, excellent teamwork is cultivated and we receive fantastic support from our leadership teams.
When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, boating, and reading.”
“Prior to Sunrise, I worked at an independent and assisted living community for 11 years. I began my career as a server in the dining room and worked my way up to director of sales and marketing.
I attended Cal State San Marcos and graduated with a degree in human development. It is rewarding knowing that I am able to provide support and love when walking a family through the tough steps of transitioning to assisted living or memory care. The best part about working at Sunrise is the quality time spent with the team members, residents, and their families.”
"I have experience working in independent living, assisted living, and memory care. I was born and raised in San Diego and graduated from San Diego State University with my degree in broadcast journalism and advertising, with a minor in psychology. I also have 17 years of experience in radio and TV/media broadcast advertising, prior to entering the world of senior living.
In addition to the gratification of helping families in transition, I enjoy travel, socializing, theater, music, the arts, hiking, reading, travel, family, and friends."
“I was raised in a farming community in southeastern Idaho near Yellowstone Park and Grand Teton National Park. And yes…I do love fresh Idaho potatoes. I enrolled in nursing school at the age of seventeen after graduating from high school. I obtained my Licensed Practical Nurse certificate at age eighteen.
While working on my RN degree, I married and started my family. My husband and I moved around a lot before eventually settling in San Diego. After taking a few years off to raise my children, I found my niche in health/hospice nursing. Before joining the Sunrise team, I worked as a director of health services at an independent and assisted living community.
I have two children—a recently married daughter who lives in Yellowstone with her husband and a high schooler-son who is dually enrolled in college courses at Mesa College. In my spare time when I’m not working, I enjoy being outdoors, walking, hiking, biking, and just taking in the wonderful San Diego weather. I also love decorating, scrapbooking, cooking, and baking.”
“Prior to joining Sunrise Senior Living, I worked in an assisted living and memory care community as a medication technician. I started working as an assisted living and memory care coordinator in 2010. I received a recognition award from CALA: California Assisted Living Association for Outstanding Services to the Residents.
I work with passion and respect and care deeply about my residents and team members. The best part of my job is helping promote residents’ independence and encouraging them to maintain their optimal functionality.”
“I am originally from Long Island, New York and am happy to relocate to San Diego to join the Sunrise of Sabre Springs team. I have enjoyed working at Sunrise since 2014. It’s great to be a part of something that I truly believe in; Sunrise takes excellent care of the residents and team members.
I have a background in French Mediterranean cooking. I enjoy incorporating the basics of those styles into home-style and fusion cooking. I have experience as a chef working in restaurants in Long Island, Manhattan, Connecticut, and California. My favorite dish to cook is paella, and my favorite cookbook is Cook’s Ingredients.
When I’m not working I enjoy, surfing, biking, hiking, and exploring new foods and flavors at farmers markets and restaurants. I look forward to opening this building and using my talents in this brand new, state-of-the-art kitchen.”
"I am a licensed general contractor. Before Sunrise, I previously worked for one of the top 250 general contractors in the country. My experience in the construction/building industry began in 2003 as a lead carpenter, and in 2008, I acquired my license. Since then, I have owned and operated my own construction business and worked as a superintendent for another contractor. I am excited to be transitioning into this new position and look forward to getting to know our residents.
I have been married to my wife Diane for more than seven years and have two amazing little girls, Francesca and Gabriella. When I'm not working or spending time with my family, I like to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors."
