Our community is pleased to have dining services coordinator, Randall Lonoza, on board. He was classically trained at The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Orange County, CA. His background includes high-volume and fine dining restaurants, as well as large catering events and prior service as the dining services coordinator at a number of senior living communities in California.
"It's the joy and passion of ensuring quality food for our residents that keeps me dedicated to Sunrise," says Randall, who was drawn to this job by all of the positive comments he heard about the community. "When it comes to food, it can warm the soul on even the gloomiest of days." He also knows that a senior's special diet sometimes calls for lowered sodium intake, so instead, he focuses on flavoring dishes with fresh herbs and spices, rather than reaching for the salt shaker.
Randall takes into account resident tastes and preferences by hosting regular dining meetings with our residents. Together, they create a Chef's Special menu for Sunday dinners that is driven 100% by resident choice – that's the Sunrise Signature Dining difference.
