"It has been my privilege to work for this incredible company and with this amazing team since January 2011. Most of my working career was in Retail Management, with a focus on opening and closing stores, customer service and making sure that everything is done the way it should be. I started my journey into Senior Care in 2004 with the decline of my parents, Dad passing in 2005 and Mom in 2006.
My career with Sunrise of Vancouver saw me starting as Director of Sales and then being promoted to Executive Director in January 2015. Being able to meet with families, that are facing challenges caring for their loved ones is a gift, one that I cherish every day. To be able to bring Sunrise to more families, offering assistance, compassion and support during these difficult times is my passion. To be able to come to work every day, for a company that strives to always be a leader in Senior Care, to be the best that it can possibly be and always works to be better, is a joy. I am truly blessed to surround myself with talented, passionate people daily and to be part of our residents and families journey during this part of their lives."
"I joined the Sunrise of Vancouver team in May 2008 as a part-time concierge and moved into the Director of Sales role thereafter. "I joined the Sunrise of Vancouver team in August of 2017 as the Resident Care Director.
Working as a Registered Nurse for the last 18 years, my experience has been in acute, community & residential care settings, in a variety of nursing roles. Prior to joining Sunrise I had the pleasure of working as an Executive Director & Director of Care for 8 years, focusing on geriatrics & mental health. It is my passion to actively advocate for resident centered care & I believe strongly in Sunrise’s mission “To Champion quality of life for all seniors.”

"I have been working in the senior living industry since 2013 and joined Sunrise March of 2016, and am excited to continue spending many more years caring for your loved ones.
Sunrise has become more than a career for me, it is my second home, and the residents have become not only my friends, but my family. I never thought I would find myself here as my education is a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Post Grad in Project Management. I landed in this field after graduating and fell in love with it. My journey with Sunrise started off at our Ontario communities as the Activities & Volunteer Coordinator and the Business Office Coordinator. From there, I made a life move out to British Columbia where I have now taken on the role of Residential Care Coordinator here at Sunrise of Vancouver.
I am so proud to work for such a fantastic community, where the well being of our residents comes before anything. Sunrise stands for everything that I believe in, and I can't see myself being anywhere else. I can only hope that in my later years I can live somewhere that I am cared for as much as Sunrise cares for their residents.
