Meet the Sunrise of Wayland Team

Marie-Jean Earnshaw

Executive Director

Marie-Jean has worked in Emergency Medical Services, Health Care and Skilled Rehabilitation Services since 1989.  She has served in many capacities, such as:  Paramedic, Director of Operations, Clinical Liaison to Massachusetts General Hospital and as a multi-state regional director. 

Marie-Jean is passionate about two New England sports teams, the Boston Red Sox and the NE Patriots. She loves to spend time with her very large Italian family and is looking forward to cooking her favorite recipes for her residents at Sunrise of Wayland.

Director of Sales

Janelle joins the Sunrise of Wayland team after sixteen years of working with seniors in Assisted Living, with most of her experience as a Social Director.  Janelle has always had a passion for working with seniors. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. 

“What I love most about my job is getting to work with residents and their families to help them better understand our assisted living community and memory care neighborhood and how it can benefit and support them.  I love being able to help in any way that I can.”

Assisted Living Coordinator

Kristine was a stay-at-home mom for 16 years before joining the Sunrise Team as a part-time Concierge in May of 2017.  Before having her children, Kristine worked for 11 years at Perkins School for the Blind.  Kristine believes that with her years of professional experience in Office Administration along with her years of nurturing her family, she was well-groomed to take over the responsibilities of the Assisted Living Coordinator.  Her favorite part of her job is spending time talking and joking with the residents, and more importantly making sure that they are comfortable and happy.

 During her downtime Kristine enjoys watching the Boston Celtics, walking her dog Jaxson, and spending time with her girls, Cara Mia and Gianna.

“I have worked at Sunrise of Wayland for almost two decades, with 11 years and counting as activities and volunteer coordinator. I love my job! As I tell all new and potential residents, ‘I have a great job, and we will have a lot of fun!’

I enjoy working with all of my team members because we all have one thing in common: We provide the best care to all residents with dignity, comfort, and laughter.

I have three beautiful daughters and one unbelievable, precious granddaughter. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, photography, and playing with Play-Doh!”

“Since 2004, I have been working as a lead Designated Care Manager and medication technician. Even though my own home is far away from Sunrise of Wayland, I don’t mind the long commute because the people here make it all worth it.
