“I have been working with Sunrise since 2002. I began my Sunrise career at Sunrise of Cohasset as a Reminiscence lead care manager, and then transitioned to assisted living coordinator before coming into my current role of executive director.
I love being able to help someone every day—residents, families, and team members alike. No day is ever the same at Sunrise; I’m constantly meeting new people, establishing new relationships, learning new things, problem-solving, and finding ways to provide the best quality of life to all those around me.
I enjoy spending my spare time with my friends and family. My twin girls keep me busy, but when I do have time, I like reading, walking my dog, and going to the beach (when weather permits!).
My experience with Sunrise actually started as a resident’s daughter. I visited the community very frequently for 4 years and saw first-hand what makes Sunrise so special. It wasn’t long before Sunrise of Wayland started feeling like my home away from home. It only seemed natural that I would become part of the Sunrise Senior Living family by beginning to work here as director of sales!
I love meeting so many new people and enjoy developing relationships with residents, families, and team members as part of my work.
There is never a day that goes by that I don’t feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to share a meaningful moment with someone else in our community. Whether listening to a story or enjoying a laugh with a resident, working together with a team member or assisting a family with the often difficult decision to move a loved-one to assisted living, I always go home feeling like I made a difference.
I spend my free time with my family and friends.”
“I have been with Sunrise Senior Living since 2000. I began in our Weston community but transferred to Wayland where I have been working ever since.
I love meeting with families and hearing their stories. Working at Sunrise of Wayland allows me the pleasure of meeting with residents and families who are looking into next steps. I believe it is my responsibility to help educate people on available options to ensure their need are met—both in the short- and long-term.
I am so proud to tell people about Sunrise and share the benefits of living in one of our communities, specifically about our care continuum, team members, and wonderful residents. In many ways, Sunrise sells itself when someone visits.
In my spare time, I love to travel, read, and spend time with my husband, daughters, and extended family.”
“I have worked at Sunrise of Wayland for almost two decades, with 11 years and counting as activities and volunteer coordinator. I love my job! As I tell all new and potential residents, ‘I have a great job, and we will have a lot of fun!’
I enjoy working with all of my team members because we all have one thing in common: We provide the best care to all residents with dignity, comfort, and laughter.
I have three beautiful daughters and one unbelievable, precious granddaughter. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, photography, and playing with Play-Doh!”
“Since 2004, I have been working as a lead Designated Care Manager and medication technician. Even though my own home is far away from Sunrise of Wayland, I don’t mind the long commute because the people here make it all worth it.
Having relationships with our residents is like having many grandparents under the same roof. The residents, their families, other team members, and management make me glad to be at Sunrise.”
