Meet some of the members of our team here at Sunrise of Webster Groves, Missouri.
"I have worked for Sunrise since January 2012. I have been in healthcare for over 30 years.
My favorite part of my job is making people smile and feel good about who they are, what they do and whom they serve. It’s watching the spark in the eyes of one of our senior residents and a Sunrise Team Member when they experience a special moment that connects them, creating a memory.
The best part of working at Sunrise is to carry on our mission, “To Champion Quality of Life for ALL Seniors”. It is knowing that through all the hard work put in each day, I can go home knowing that I have done my best to challenge and champion for team spirit. GO ORANGE!
In my spare time I thoroughly enjoy sharing the grand parenting experience with my husband, as we help to shape the generation of future caregivers."
"I have been working in health care and senior care for 25 years starting in Neuro Rehab in Occupational Therapy and then moving to Sales and Marketing. I joined the Sunrise Team in 2005 at a sister community. I left for a different opportunity and was happy to come back to Sunrise of Webster Groves in September of 2017 .
I really love that Sunrise Senior Living is dedicated to taking care of the frailest of frail and our residents may age in place in their home.
The best part of my job is to be able to help families and seniors and to be a resource for them.
In my spare time I like to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy Yoga and other exercise, outdoor activities, playing cards and reading."
"I have worked for Sunrise since June 2019 and have recently taken over the role of Director of Resident Care. I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years as a staff and charge nurse in a local hospital. I was also on the Quality Practice Counsel. In 2005 I became a Diabetic Nurse Educator for inpatient and outpatient services. I then transferred into the role of Program Coordinator for an outpatient education recognized program through the ADA.
My favorite part of the job is working one on one with the residents learning their needs, helping them achieve healthy outcomes and quality of life. The best part of being at Sunrise is the leadership support and teamwork.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my husband, family, outdoor activities and listening to live music."
"My passion for serving seniors began over 20 years ago as an Administrator for a Residential Care Facility in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I first joined Sunrise Senior Living in 2000 when I relocated from Arkansas to the St. Louis area and served as an Assisted Living Coordinator and Executive Director for our sister communities. I was thrilled to rejoined Sunrise Senior Living in 2017 as the Assisted Living Coordinator of Sunrise of Webster Groves.
I really love that Sunrise of Webster Groves team takes pride in delivering high quality care with a personal touch. The best part of my job is getting to know and love all our wonderful residents and families!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and 2 sons, shopping, gardening, going to concerts, watching movies, and baking."
My favorite part of the job would be getting to work in such a warm home-like environment and getting to spend time talking with residents and hearing their stories.
The best part of working at Sunrise is always knowing I can get whatever support I need and being surrounded by people that all share the same passion.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends just having fun and trying new things.
"I cared for my mom with dementia for 3 years and understand the challenges that family members can face with their loved ones.
My favorite part of my job is talking, joking, and laughing with the residents. I love hearing about their families and their previous work life, travels and accomplishments. I also LOVE engaging with the local schools to visit our residents and create opportunities for these children to spend time with our seniors.
Best part of working at Sunrise is all the support I get in order for me to be the best at my job.
In my spare time, I love to watch movies, attend theater and sporting events and cook."
"I have a degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I have worked in health care, senior care for nearly 20 years starting as a CNA, CMT and as a Registered Behavioral Technician. I recently returned to Sunrise of Webster Groves when I realized my passion lies in Senior Care. I bring with me an abundance of experience that has greatly influenced my passion to care for and support seniors to live a life of purpose of their own choosing.
My favorite part of coming to work is spending time with the residents and learning their story. I enjoy seeing the residents light up when you ask them about their lives and where they have traveled throughout the years. The reason I love Sunrise is because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission just as much as I am.
In my free time I love to travel and meet interesting people along the way."
