We’re welcoming brighter days while continuing to promote health and safety.
“Prior to joining the Sunrise of Westtown team, I was the DOS over at Sunrise of Wilmington, and before that, a partner with MyCareConnect, serving as the Chief Marketing Officer and the founder and Chief Operating Officer of the company’s adult and senior care services. My move to the senior care industry was inspired by my late mother, who was a resident of Sunrise of Wilmington.
I love to provide comfort, guidance and solutions to individuals and families during an often difficult and challenging time.
I am grateful for my daily interaction with current and prospective residents and their families. I am comforted by the knowledge that my company’s mission statement, foundational belief and Principles of Service match my own.
Outside of work, I like to spend a relaxing time with family and friends, whether it is over a meal or on a golf course.”
The Sunrise Principle of Service that guides me is Preserving Dignity. Working with residents in our Reminiscence Neighborhood means that people depend on me to provide them with excellent care and to be their advocate. I like to think that I treat each person with the kind of care and respect I would have liked my grandmother to have received."
"I have been with Sunrise of Westtown for over 18 years. In that time, I have served in many different roles throughout this community. I have been a care manager, medication care manager, terrace club coordinator and now, I have found my home as the Concierge. I love my role at Sunrise. Being at the front desk allows me to be able to talk to all of my residents and families every day. My favorite part of my job is being able to grow relationships with my residents, and to to hear their stories. I am always available to them, for small tasks, or a listening ear."
For many, Sharon is the first face they will see or the first voice they hear when being introduced to Sunrise. When considering our Sunrise Principles of Service, Celebrating Individuality is her favorite.
"While I have only been with Sunrise since 2019, I feel that the community is such a huge part of my life. I have been an LPN for over 40 years. I have spent all of my career in geriatrics as I love caring for this population. I love coming to work each day, getting to spend time with my residents, and helping provide them with the best care. My favorite part of my job is getting to go the extra mile for them, by either bringing them in a card, a balloon on their birthday, or celebrating major milestones with them. I feel so grateful to be a part of their life!"
