Ian Monteith

Executive Director

"Prior to joining the Sunrise team I was a patient advocate with a specialty in dementia. My favorite part of my job is having a direct impact on residents, families and team members. The position of Executive Director allows me the freedom to make positive changes in many people’s lives on a daily basis.

Sunrise, as a company, lives and breathes its mission to champion the quality of life for all seniors. Be it a front line team member, or my Director of Operations, Sunrise talks the talk and walks the walk. I am just a small cog in a big wheel, yet I share the same values and beliefs as the entire company.

My spare time is almost always spent with my best friend and hero, my wife, plus my two children ages three and five. I enjoy reading and fishing, and I am a huge movie buff. More than anything, I enjoy singing in the car (much to my family’s chagrin).”

Director of Sales

“Prior to joining the Sunrise of Westtown team, I was the DOS over at Sunrise of Wilmington, and before that, a partner with MyCareConnect, serving as the Chief Marketing Officer and the founder and Chief Operating Officer of the company’s adult and senior care services. My move to the senior care industry was inspired by my late mother, who was a resident of Sunrise of Wilmington.

I love to provide comfort, guidance and solutions to individuals and families during an often difficult and challenging time.

I am grateful for my daily interaction with current and prospective residents and their families. I am comforted by the knowledge that my company’s mission statement, foundational belief and Principles of Service match my own.

Outside of work, I like to spend a relaxing time with family and friends, whether it is over a meal or on a golf course.”

Activities & Volunteer Coordinator

"I have always enjoyed helping others and making people smile.  I found my passion for programming while volunteering at my local Sunrise and decided to apply for a position. It is years later, and I am so happy I did!

My favorite part of my job is improving the resident’s life through programming. I feel the appreciation from my residents bad see the fun they are having and have never had a more fulfilling job.

Sunrise is the leading care provider for senior living communities, placing a huge emphasis on programs in the community to enhance the quality of their loves. Sunrise supplies me with the tools I need to be successful in my role.

In my spare time I enjoy being with my husband, my pets and my family. You can always find me cooking a new recipe in the kitchen, out attending a family function or spending time with my friends. I also enjoy trying new things and traveling to new places!"

Tina Clouser

Personal Care Coordinator

“I have been with Sunrise since June of 2014. I started off as a care manager and since then have made it my mission to everything in my power to champion the quality of life for all seniors. My favorite part of my job comes from the relationships that I have built with the residents, families, and my fellow team members. Being able to make a difference in someone’s life is the most rewarding experience. When I come to work, it hardly feels like a job since I am surrounded by friends!

Sunrise pioneered the personal care movement and has created the opportunity for all seniors to age in place; in a community that they can call “home.” Working for Sunrise has allowed me the chance to bring comfort and joy to the seniors I serve, all while growing and developing as a healthcare professional.

I spend my spare time with my pets, and I love doing new adventurous things with friends."

Stanley Green

Dining Services Coordinator

"Prior to joining the Sunrise team, I ran my family's restaurant which was a large seafood restaurant that my grandparents started in 1923. We sold the restaurant in 1992, and I went into the convenience store business for 10 years. After that, I joined the Sunrise Team!

My favorite part of my job is that I enjoy cooking for our residents. It gives me a great feeling to cook a good meal for our residents and see a smile on their face. I have the freedom to make many great items and do special events where families can come and eat my food along with our residents.

Sunrise has given me the opportunity to be in the food business and still have a good quality life. I have worked for Sunrise for since 2007, and I love this company and their mission. I have even placed my own mother in a Sunrise because I know she will get the highest quality of care.

Most of my spare time is spent with my wife and grandchildren. I love to cook at home and have family dinners with my wife, children, and grandchildren. I also like to play golf, fish, and sell collectibles on the internet. "

Barbie Brown

Lead Care Manager, Reminiscence

“I have been with Sunrise for 20 years and have really found my calling.  My favorite part of my job is coming in and seeing the residents every morning. My grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and died at a young age.  This journey continues for me at Sunrise, where I feel like I have many grandmothers who need my care.

The Sunrise Principle of Service that guides me is Preserving Dignity.  Working with residents in our Reminiscence Neighborhood means that people depend on me to provide them with excellent care and to be their advocate.  I like to think that I treat each person with the kind of care and respect I would have liked my grandmother to have received.”
