Cindy Wilson—Team Member Since 2019

Director of Sales

"I have been with Sunrise since June of 2019. I have been working in Senior Care since May of 2009 but in addition to that, I have managed a large Senior Citizen Club where I planned and hosted events such as: parties, day trips, overnight trips, and senior fairs. I have also volunteered for Voyce (The Ombudsman program) where I have been both Chairman and Co-chair of the Caregivers Awards-honoring those that go above and beyond for our seniors.

I am passionate about sharing Sunrise with the public and professionals. It is important for people to know that living with purpose does not stop when moving into a senior living community. The best part about working at Sunrise is helping the families find a wonderful home where they know their loved ones can live with dignity and enjoy their lives, while receiving unique care that was planned for their individual needs.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love boating, dancing, and being outdoors."

Business Office Coordinator

"I have been with Sunrise since November 2019. I’ve worked in the accounting field for over 25 years. My prior experience with Senior Living has been with my mom. My mother was in assisted living for approximately 4 years. The experience as a family member with someone in assisted living gave me a new outlook on what type of career I wanted to pursue.

It is hard to pick a favorite part of my job. I enjoy learning new systems, meeting new potential team members and working with a great team of people. The best part of working at Sunrise would have to be greeting the residents in the morning and telling them good night when I leave. I feel blessed when a resident wants to share a story with me. I look at this as one of the benefits working here at Sunrise.

My grandson fills up most of my spare time. I enjoy motorcycle riding, reading, cross stitch, visiting with friends and family, walking and spending time on the beach."

Activity & Volunteer Coordinator

"I have been with Sunrise since August of 2019. I previously worked as an Activity assistant at a nursing home.

My favorite part of being Activities & Volunteer Coordinator is creating fun and meaningful activities for our residents. I want to see them have fun and find themselves within the activity. The best part about working at Sunrise is working with wonderful people that truly care about the residents and want them to prosper. Having coworkers that are easy to talk to and fun to be around, makes for a great environment for everyone!

In my spare time, I love to hang out with friends and family. Being with others is when I am happiest! I love to entertain, so I feel that this position fits quite well!

Maintenance Coordinator

"I have worked in senior living since 2003 and recently joined the Sunrise On Clayton team. My favorite part of this position is mingling with our residents, learning about them, their stories and how I can help make their life easier. Every day is different so they keep me on my toes! In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my family and friends."

Lead Designated Care Manager

“I have always had a heart for working with seniors. It is something I realized from a young age. I started at home by taking care of my grandmother and continued as I grew older with my mother-in-law. Caring for seniors isn’t just ‘something you do,’ it is something you have to have a passion for!

I’ve been with Sunrise on Clayton since 2011. I started as a care manager, transitioned to a Designated Care Manager, and then moved to my current role as Lead Designated Care Manager. I love being an advocate for my residents. It gives me joy to know that families can breathe easier knowing I am here for their loved one.

“I have worked for Sunrise since 2010. Before working for Sunrise, I worked as a front desk manager for a hotel in St. Louis for eight years.

I enjoy working with all of our residents and their families. I am a people person and like helping and talking to everyone. Helping both fellow employees and resident family members gives me so much pleasure.

I love having contact with people and helping them, both inside and outside of the community. I’m proud to have recently received the 2016 Voyce Exceptional Caregiver Award and Sunrise Senior Living’s Joy in Service Award.

In my spare time, I work for and am a member of the 1904 World’s Fair Society in St. Louis. I also have recently purchased a new Buick convertible and really enjoy riding around in it.”

Community Dog

"I have been with Sunrise for a couple of years now. This is my first experience as a Sunrise Community Dog. 

My favorite part of my job is getting pets every time someone walks past me. I make sure that I am always ready to receive any love I get (which is a lot!). The best part about working at Sunrise is how nice everyone is! Everybody always smiles at me and that makes me feel loved. I also like seeing the smiles I bring to our residents. 

In my spare time, I like to play with my green ball, but I also like to sleep wherever I please."
