When I was in high school I volunteered at an assisted living community helping with activities, playing scrabble with residents and going on outings. After graduating from college I started my career with Sunrise as a care manager. Since then I have worked as a care coordinator, director of sales and now as an area manager of internet sales.
Why I love working for Sunrise
I love working for Sunrise because of the amazing team members working in our communities. Every day they demonstrate their passion for caring for our residents and truly live our mission to champion the quality of life for all seniors. When families visit the community and have an opportunity to see our team in action I hope that they leave feeling reassured that there is a safe, comfortable, caring place for their loved one.
My best advice to families or seniors looking for senior living
My best advice is start your search early, don’t wait for an emergency to start looking for a senior living community. When you have the time to visit and discuss the different options with family and friends you learn what truly matters to you. Does this community offer activities that I am interested in? How much variety is offered in the menu? What types of training do they offer the team members caring for residents with dementia?
When you have the time to consider what is most important to you or your loved one you can feel confident when you make the decision you will choose the right community.
