Meet our Senior Living Counselors

Emily Prachaseri Emily Prachaseri, Senior Living Counselor

Tenure at Sunrise Senior Living:
“I started working at Sunrise in 2004”

Experience in Senior Living:
“I began my journey with Sunrise Senior Living as a care manager, catering to residents in both Assisted Living and Reminiscence. Later, I took on the role as the Activity & Volunteer Coordinator, which allowed me more one-on-one time with residents and their families. As of late, I have worked in a Care Coordinator role, training our new team members to uphold our Mission and eventually transitioned as a Director of Sales. This gave me the opportunity to bring Sunrise to new families, something I am truly grateful for.”

Why do I love working for Sunrise?
“Working for Sunrise is so much more than a job. Our communities offer more than just a safe home for our residents. Seeing a senior find purpose again, make friends, and try new things is not only what makes us successful, it is the driving force behind why we do what we do! Our residents become our family, and their family becomes an extension of our team. I love Sunrise because of the network it provides those who need it most.”

My best advice to families or seniors looking for senior living:
“Before setting out to visit a senior living community, make a list about what is most important to your loved one. Often, families are so concerned with checking things off of someone else's recommended list, they forget to focus on what matters most to them. What will make your loved one feel the most at home? What brings them joy? Exploring options independently, and then re-visiting communities with another set of eyes and ears' can also be helpful. Lastly, no question is a silly one! We are built on the principle of Celebrating Individuality, and that means catering to your specific needs and interests. You won't know unless you ask!”
