Join us for a monthly meeting where you can gather in our community with others who have a loved one living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or another form of memory loss.

If you love history, this session is for you. Join Doug Brin “History Raconteur” as he presents historical lectures in a conversational and exciting fashion. Topics include American Presidents and First Ladies. 

 

Ilana Zaks Violinist from The Seattle Symphony
 September 19 | 3:00 P.M.

Ilana Zaks currently serves as first violinist with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera, and she holds degrees from New England Conservatory and Yale School of Music. Ms Zaks has performed nationally and internationally, and brings a strong passion for community engagement and storytelling through music.

 

A Conversation with Ambassador Diego Arria about his international experience at the UN and his recent book: "War and Terrorism in the Heart of Europe
 September 25 | 2:00 P.M.

Ambassador Diego Arria is a Venezuelan politician, diplomat, and former Permanent Representative to the United Nations (1991–1993) and President of the Security Council (March 1992). He was Governor of the Federal District of Caracas in the mid-1970s and has since been a Diplomatic Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. Arria is a critic of former President of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, and denounced him at the International Criminal Court at The Hague for crimes against humanity.

 

Screening of “Facing the Wind” followed by Q&A and book signing with Executive Producer, Mary Lou Falcone

Join us for an evening of cathartic education with Author, Illustrator and Executive Producer Mary Lou Falcone to discuss the role as a caregiver embracing love and loss.
