Juilliard Performing Arts Program

We’re partnering with the Juilliard Extension Division to offer high-level music study to our residents. This program provides three 12-week semesters per year, which take place live and within their suites with one-hour weekly classes taught by Juilliard Extension’s dance, drama, and music faculty. The program also gives access to live-streamed and on-demand Juilliard performances. This elevated programming provides great arts enrichment with access to performances and education for our residents to learn from experienced faculty in the comfort of their own community.

Northwell Health

Sunrise at East 56th is pleased to collaborate with Northwell Health’s Center for Healthy Aging, which is offering its signature healthcare services to residents, for an additional fee*. The relationship provides a holistic approach to senior care, allowing residents who choose to enroll with Northwell Health the opportunity to work with Northwell physicians from the comfort of their home at the community. Participating residents of Sunrise at East 56th will gain access to Northwell’s geriatric care experts and 24/7 telehealth services.

Broadway Cares

Through our exclusive Broadway Cares program, residents enjoy unparalleled access to the world of live performance. From VIP seats at Broadway and Off-Broadway productions to behind-the-scenes rehearsals, talkbacks with cast and crew, and conversations with artists and industry leaders hosted at Sunrise at East 56th, the program offers rare opportunities to connect with the Broadway community. Residents may also access producers’ House Seats to Broadway, national tours, opera, classical music, and more, bringing the art of live performance directly into everyday life.

92NY Himan Brown 60+ Program

Designed especially for older adults, 92NY’s Himan Brown Program offers lectures, classes, discussion groups, fitness classes, and workshops from artists, professors, authors, and experts in a variety of fields. The 92nd Street Y, New York is a community center connecting people through the arts, culture, and entertainment. Through this partnership, 92NY will bring exclusive experiences right to our residents, giving them not only learning opportunities, but also the chance to socialize and connect over shared interests.
