Andy Mest

Andy Mest joined Sunrise Senior Living in 2025 and serves as Senior Vice President of Construction and Design. He brings more than 20 years experience across multiple living sectors; multifamily, senior housing, student with over 75,000 units completed in his career. This has been shaped by a strong focus on resident experience and close collaboration with operations to create thoughtful, long lasting environments.

At Sunrise, Andy leads the Construction and Design team in expanding our development pipeline and driving renovation initiatives, ensuring our communities reflect the warmth and high standards that define the Sunrise experience. His leadership supports our growth strategy and continues to build on a strong foundation of design excellence.

Andy previously has been a speaker on modular construction & prefabrication. He has served as a guest lecturer at Virginia Tech, Clemson University, and the University of North Carolina. He lives in Baltimore with his family and enjoys watching his three children compete in sports.
