Sunrise Senior Living Receives Certification as a 2021 Great Place to Work®!

We are excited to share that Sunrise has been certified as Great Place to Work®! Great Place to Work®, an independent research and consulting firm, awarded this certification based on results from the Great Place to Work survey, which hundreds of U.S. Sunrise team members completed this April. The survey asked about more than 60 elements of the team member experience, including pride in Sunrise’s community impact, belief that your work makes a difference, and feeling your work has special meaning. 

“During my recent CEO Listening Tour, I had the privilege of visiting many communities and hearing firsthand the compassionate, inclusive, and supportive environment that our team members foster,” said Chief Executive Officer Jack R. Callison, Jr. “I am incredibly proud to lead an organization where our team members genuinely love coming to work to champion quality of life for all seniors each day.”

 

We are especially pleased to highlight some of the strongest aspects of our special culture that helped us achieve this recognition as a team. More than three quarters of all respondents said that Sunrise is a great place to work, compared to 59 percent of employees at a typical U.S.-based company. Additionally, more than 85 percent of respondents felt that they make a difference, that their job has special meaning, that they are made to feel welcome when they join Sunrise, and that they are given a lot of responsibility to do their work. We were also proud to hear that a majority of survey respondents feel that individuals at Sunrise are treated fairly regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

“This meaningful certification strengthens our position as an employer of choice and will help us attract even more passionate team members to help champion Sunrise’s mission, values and principles of service,” said Chief Human Resources Officer Laurie Ann Pack. “We are constantly exploring opportunities to further enhance our team members’ experience to ensure we offer rewarding careers, not just jobs. These survey results will help Sunrise leadership continue to identify specifically where we can improve further to make certain all of our team members feel even more fulfilled, valued, and supported.”
