While the global COVID-19 pandemic has changed all our lives significantly, it has created a particularly challenging environment for our residents and the team members who care for them.
Sunrise remains firmly focused on promoting the safety and well-being of our residents and team members. Prior to the pandemic, we had in place an evidenced-based Infection Control and Prevention program based on the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention guidance for long-term care communities. As COVID-19 spread in the US and Canada, we expanded the program to help protect our communities and fight the virus.

It’s critical that we help our residents feel secure, comfortable, and fulfilled during these uncertain times. We have adjusted our Live with Purpose programming and continue to enrich our residents with personalized, 1:1 activities in their suites.
Our Sunrise team is also validating our evidence-based approach to infection control with some of the top medical, infection control, and geriatrics experts in the country to make sure we are taking the necessary steps to keep our communities safe.
