After graduating from UC San Diego in 2011 with a BA in human development, Marleth began her career in senior living as a receptionist and was quickly promoted to office manager. She joined the team at Sunrise of Bonita in March 2014 and was surprised by the incredible difference the team makes for each resident that moves in. She takes pride in the hiring process at the community and believes that our most valuable assets are our hard-working team members.
Outside of work, Marleth enjoys salsa dancing and performing… that is why her favorite part of her job is watching the residents sing and dance every day!
Shannon has been with Sunrise for more than ten years. She started her career with Sunrise as a care manager (caregiver), she then became the Activities & Volunteer Coordinator, later she became the Reminiscence Coordinator, overseeing the memory care neighborhood for 5 years. Shannon is now the Assisted Living Coordinator. Shannon graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in Health Administration and has taking the course to become a Level 1 Certified Validation Worker. She will be continuing her Validation Journey in the upcoming months.
Shannon believes the best part of working at Sunrise is helping all of the individuals she comes in contact with, whether it is a family member, resident, or fellow team member.
When not at Sunrise, you can find Shannon at any of the ice rinks in Southern California; her son is the goalie for a San Diego hockey team and she is his number one fan!
A San Diego native, Dan joined the Sunrise at Bonita team in 2021. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a degree in Business Administration. Dan’s passion for senior care and his aspiration to make it a career began at an early age. In high school and college, he spent many hours shadowing the staff and volunteering at several assisted-living facilities. He also provided daily care to a local World War II veteran while finishing his bachelor’s degree.
As the Sunrise at Bonita Activities & Volunteer Coordinator, Dan draws from his experience as a member of Pepperdine’s Residence Life Department and a Team Leader for the athletic department’s student “Rally Crew.” He believes that staying active, no matter your age, is a key to happiness, so he takes great pride in keeping the residents at Sunrise active and happy. When he’s not at Sunrise, Dan can be found working out, cheering on the San Diego Padres and England’s Liverpool soccer club, mentoring teens in his church’s youth group, and spending time with his beautiful fiancé, Danielle.
Before starting at Sunrise, Roberto previously worked in hotel maintenance, engineering, and manufacturing operations in various factories, and even owned his own six-bed elder care facility in 2014 and 2015.
