Luis joined Sunrise Senior Living August 2007 as an Activities and Volunteer Director. Thereafter, he served as the Assisted Living Coordinator for a large Independent Full-Service Facility before accepting the Executive Director position in 2011 at Sunrise of Alta Loma. During his tenure at Alta Loma, he's been a one on one mentor to new Executive Directors, Group Training Leader, ED Job Coach, and an EDIT Mentor. In 2017 Luis was promoted to the Senior Executive Director role, serving to support communities in the West Region.
Currently Luis is serving as the Executive Director at Sunrise of Seal Beach. He graduated from Chapman University with a BS in Business Administration/Economics, and later received an M. ED at National University. Luis enjoys providing support and watching fellow administrators and employees grow professionally. He enjoys creating pleasant days for all residents, but especially those suffering with Dementia. Outside of work, Luis enjoys playing tennis, spending time with his family and watching his children play sports.
Johanna proudly joined our Sunrise Team in 2011. Since her arrival, she has made it her mission to dedicate herself to providing top quality care to our residents. Her professionalism speaks volumes. While ensuring our residents activities of daily living standards are being met, she is also managing our team members and recently promoted as our new Associate Executive Director. With Johanna’s abundance of enthusiasm, she encourages and drives her team members to parallel their performance with the Sunrise mission, Core Values, and Principles of Service.
Johanna says, “the best part about working at Sunrise is boosting employee morale and building relationships with my residents and their families.” In her spare time, she enjoys playing roller derby, watching movies, cuddling with her two cats, and spending quality time with her family.
"In 2020, I started my journey in senior living as an Associated Director of Sales. With my Sunrise community's support and training, I was able to transition seamlessly into the Director of Sales roll. I come from a long background in hospitality sales and customer service. After being an advocate for my grandparents, assisting them with finding a better more active way of life, I knew the transition into senior living was the perfect choice for me. I have a heart for service and I am excited to grow my resume with Sunrise.
My favorite thing about working at Sunrise is hearing the residents' stories and memories. Each Resident has a unique story and I hope to live half the life they do.
As I grow in my career, I also grow with my family. We like to try new foods, go on adventures and experience all that we can. The best things in life are the people we love, the places we’ve been and the memories we’ve made."
"I started my career with Sunrise in 2017 as a concierge. Shortly after, I worked my way into the Associate Sales Director position before accepting the role as Director of Sales. This role allows me to be part of a major moment in families lives, which I feel is the biggest reward. I feel like when they come to me for help, you can see a weight lifted off their shoulders. This is my favorite part about my job.
My favorite about Sunrise is the care we provide and being able to give families peace of mind their loved will be taken care of. During my free time, I enjoy cooking for my family, exploring new local destinations and walking my dog, Chance."
Tiffany began her journey at Sunrise of Seal Beach in October of 2019 as a care manager where she worked with residents in memory care and had the opportunity to form relationships with residents and fellow care managers. In August 2020, she also began working as a concierge and from there she was granted the opportunity to grow further within the company and become an Assisted Living Coordinator, where she continues to learn and grow in her new position. Before joining Sunrise, Tiffany graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
Tiffany enjoys working at Sunrise because she is constantly learning something new as everyday brings a new and exciting challenge. She loves to work and build relationships with team members, residents, and their families. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and take her dog on walks. She also enjoys traveling to new places.
Charles joined the Sunrise Seal of Beach Team in November of 2020 as our Dining Services Coordinator. While this is his first opportunity working within a senior living Community, he brings over 30 years of restaurant and dining experience holding multiple roles from Executive Chef and Special Events Director to General Manager and Hospitality Consultant. Charles attended Arizona State University finishing his B.A. in Business Administration and History.
His background, one built on a foundation of providing outstanding food and service, has continued to fuel his passion for dining. He enjoys building relationships with guests, coaching and teaching team members, developing key talent and mentoring them throughout their careers. During his down time, Charles enjoys spending time with his two boys, fishing, basketball, golf, coaching football, and traveling the world with his wife.
Beginning her career at Sunrise in November 2011, Sandra had the opportunity to care for our residents as a Designated Care Manager. Since then, she has worked as a Lead Care Manager, Administrative Assistant and now as a Business Office Coordinator.
Sandra enjoys working for Sunrise because of the people; she truly believes Sunrise hires serving hearts who care for our residents and follow our mission – to champion the quality of life for all seniors. Outside of work, Sandra enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, watching movies and visiting new places.
