We’re pleased to introduce you to some of our extraordinary team members who work hard to make our community a great place to live.
Ann grew up in New York with her parents, sister, Joanie, and their miniature schnauzer, Peppy. She majored in advertising and graduated Bernard Baruch College in NYC where she began her media career. After moving to Los Angeles and managing many consumer goods campaigns, Ann realized that she wanted to do something more fulfilling and moved into the healthcare sphere, launching Skirball Hospice.
Ann has been working as a licensed assisted living administrator since 2007 and has been at Sunrise of Studio City since April 2013. She served on the Alzheimer’s Caregiver Wellness Committee for three years and was on the LA Parkinson’s Board for two years. Now, Ann is a Board member for the NeuroCommunity Foundation.
Aida began her career as a human resources manager at Levitz Furniture. She took care of the personnel and finances, serving the company for 18 years. She switched careers and worked for several assisted living companies as the business office coordinator. Aida came to work for Sunrise of Studio City in 2014 and works with all of our residents, families, professional vendors, and team members.
Aida enjoys her job and loves spending time with the residents. She plays cards each week and spreads a lot of love and laughter through the community.
Since Bertha was a little girl, she knew she had a passion for people. While in college, she became a California State Sexual Abuse Advocate through an organization called Strength United, and in 2013, she graduated from California State University of Northridge with a degree in psychology.
Angie has been with Sunrise of Studio City since 2011. Angie first heard about Sunrise from a family member who also works for Sunrise; when she learned of the care manager role, Angie knew she belonged at Sunrise. Angie is continuing her education at Pierce College and is pursuing her psychology degree with plans to one day become a registered nurse.
Angie says the residents are an extension of her own family and finds joy in seeing the smiles on her residents’ faces.
When Kiley saw her grandmother thrive in one of Southern California’s Reminiscence neighborhoods after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, she discovered passion for serving seniors and has since wanted to work at Sunrise. Kiley graduated from California State University of Northridge with her bachelor’s in health administration.
She started in the sales department at Sunrise of Studio City before being promoted to her dream job of assisted living coordinator.
Jennifer received her nursing degree from Los Angeles Valley College and later received her bachelor’s degree in nursing at California State University of Northridge. Jennifer came to know Sunrise Senior Living as a wellness nurse in Virginia.
