What is assisted living?

Assisted living is designed for older adults who value their independence, but need some assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, transportation, and reminders to take medication. Seniors may live in their own suites or with a companion, and are relieved of household chores such as laundry, cooking, and cleaning.

Our People are
the Sunrise Difference

Sunrise team members are selected for their big-hearted approach to fulfilling the individual needs of seniors with respect and compassion. Team members' skills are then fine-tuned through the award-winning Sunrise University training program to ensure continued implementation of Sunrise's Principles of Service for assisted senior living care.

The Individualized Service Plan (ISP)

We respect that individuals have their own needs and preferences right from the beginning. We meet with each resident and their family before move-in — and at regular intervals afterwards — to help determine appropriate care and service. The Sunrise team creates an Individualized Service Plan (ISP)  for each resident's assisted living care.

The senior's assisted living service plan is monitored daily and might include help with personal hygiene and grooming, dressing and clothes selection, showering and bathing, assistance with eating, continence management, mobility, socialization and medication management.
