Overall I would give them a 5 in every category. When dad moved in he was alert, happy and active and enjoyed the activities. Dad considered the caregiver's his friends. They genuinely cared about Dad. When he was going downhill and we all knew it was close to the end, they were so sweet and caring. It brings tears to my eyes to remember how wonderful they were to us. Dad had long-term care insurance and they administered that beautifully. I never had one problem. Dad would have said 5 on all except #6 food. He complained that it took too long to get served.

Extremely good the staff is very helpful. Food is exceptionally good. The facility is very welcoming. Location of Sunrise Of Gilbert is very ideal. The value of the dollar that you spend for this senior living facility is really really good.

Great for all categories. It was at the top of my mother in law's list when looking at options. [name removed] not only met with me and my husband, but also took time to talk with my sister in law out of state. The facility is comfortable and has a lot of activities for my mother in law.

I think there is a continued effort to make sure that they are pleasant and helpful at Sunrise Of Gilbert. The company ethic seems appropriate. We do have to observe carefully , as with most any living situation for seniors with impaired abilities. It is evident that some of the basic caregiver do not speak English well and it is possible that they do not read English. Understanding requests or materials usage can be an issue with them. I've had to be watchful of incontinence products use. I've been purchaser so as to save money and because we desire a combination of incontinence products the facility does not offer on their monthly program. The facility cost is particularly expensive at the higher level that my husband would need. But they do not provide all the products we need therefore we do it ourselves. Providing the incontinence products we need can be complicated and it brings on fair usage issues, storage issues, inventory issues, etc. But it's cheaper than their monthly program, which would not serve him. We also provide personal hygiene wipes and gloves as we do not participate in their monthly program. Recently, we have had an issue with what we considered to be missing product. Perhaps overuse, which is unique and new or perhaps "borrowing" which problem we have discussed with the caregiving director. She promised to assist us with that problem. I've had to be cautious re placement of used/soiled clothing thrown across the dinette table, etc. not putting clothes to laundry baskets that I have labeled /assigned. Due to costs our daughter does my husband's street clothing and linen laundry and that kind of thing. The facility includes one load of laundry per week and we reserve that for pajamas they will do emergency clothing as needed. Most of my challenges have to do with day-to-day caregiving, and the casualness or exactitude, which good hygiene might require? Medication/delivery seems very good. I've had to assist with portion control re food, which has improved in quality with the new chef. My husband has gained weight, though he is now choosing to reduce his portions and has lost 7 pounds. Nursing staff may have spoken to him at my request, but this is still a choice on his part. They do not control his food. I find the monthly costs shocking and of course there's been an increase over last year. However, given my husband's needs, I'm not sure I can find a equal facility that is less expensive. His children are convinced that they can. I let them go to it. ? Because I believed that the facilities that your company suggested I consider would have cost about the same, given the services needed, I chose based on clean and pleasant and reliable reputation. There were two facilities who were more expensive and I didn't pursue those because they were luxury based so we didn't care to pay that as it was not in my husband's category of needs. I do suggest to anyone going to any facility that they have family or some sort of spokesperson who is able to monitor closely the needs of the resident --the daily conditions of the resident, and the manner in which the resident is treated medically. I do have a PCP nurse practitioner based company that comes in frequently to perform routine check ups. I do find that the facility has no real interactional business agreement with them. I do have to monitor their services quite closely. The facility has a memorandum of understanding or some such with a Physical Therapy (home health) group. We have had good experiences with cooperating professionals from that company. I do find that keeping a good relationship with each of the directors very much supports what we need to do to keep on top of situations as they arise. I am very pleased with the director of caregivers who trains and manages the caregiving staff. She's an excellent listener and is willing to assist as she can. The nursing staff is more than adequate and they call in our PCP nurse practitioner as necessary. My husband expresses that he is quite happy as long as he has to be in a facility. He feels that this one is doing a good job for him.

It is very expensive so i would expect top notch on all categories. Overall the facility is clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Care seems to be appropriate for my Aunt. Although i have not actually eaten at the facility I have had several complaints from my Aunt regarding the quality of the food as well as variety. I understand there are multiple residents but many times she chooses a sandwich once told what is being served Regarding activities they do provide opportunities for outings which is a wonderful thing but when a person is excited to get out and the activity is canceled at the last moment this is not good. This has happened more than once. Outside of the facility events are very important especially to someone who has no mobility and relies on others (wheelchair)

My husband was there for 2 weeks respite. The bed provided was not adequate. He is a large man and a hospital bed would have been preferred. They did not encourage him to use his walker and instead used a lift to move him. After 2 weeks of being there he could no longer stand or walk. In our specific case I would not recommend the community for a respite stay. In addition I had a lot of paperwork to complete. A TB test and Covid test were required. Lots of hoops to go thru which was very stressful.

The apartment is a really good size. The food is hit or miss. Some meals are spectacular and others are a no go. The staff that you see every day are great but the management team can be difficult to deal with. Overall it's a nice place to live and seems to be better than the others.

The caregivers are very kind and patient. Food service is slow and inconsistent, often run out of menu items. Food quality is fine. There's a lack of things to do after dinner. Mom says it gets boring in the evenings
