We’re welcoming brighter days while continuing to promote health and safety.
“I have worked for Sunrise Senior Living for 11 years. I love putting a smile on residents’ and family members’ faces. When family members see their loved ones getting the best care, their smile means so much to me. At Sunrise, I love the feeling of home, working with a good team and caring for seniors. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and going shopping.”
My spare time is spent with my family. I have two boys and we love to ride our bikes. When I’m not with the boys, I enjoy going out with my wife for dinner and sharing some good moments.”
"I joined Sunrise as a care manager, became a lead care manager and eventually a Reminiscence Coordinator here at Brighton Gardens of Columbia since 2010. In 2016 I expanded my professional background and became a Certified Dementia Practitioner to better serve my residents, their families and my team. My favorite part about working at Sunrise is assisting to help guide our residents and their families through the different levels of Memory Loss with Dementia is a my most rewarding experience. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my son, family and friends, as well as working out to stay in shape. I have also picked up a love for baking on my days off."
"I am the Dining Services Coordinator with Sunrise Senior Living for all 17 years. Prior to Sunrise I worked for Marriot for 14 years as a Food Service Production Manager with Georgetown University in Washington, DC. My favorite part of working with Sunrise is talking to residents, families and team members and putting a smile on there face. The best part of Sunrise for me is the flexibility to support me both professionally and personally. In my spare time I love to relax with my wife and our lovable puppy!"
"For my first two years, I worked in the Activities Department, before transitioning into the Business Office. Before working at Sunrise, I was a student at UMBC, studying Management of Aging Services. My favorite part of Sunrise is interacting with residents has always been the best part of working at Brighton Gardens of Columbia. I enjoy stopping in to see residents or having them stop by my office for a chat. Learning about all our individual residents and the things they have experienced is always enjoyable. Outside of Brighton Gardens, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling to new places, and relaxing at home."
"I started at Brighton Gardens of Columbia as a Concierge welcoming residents, families, team members and guests. I transitioned to Associate Director of Sales where I received training to prepare for my now current role of Director of Sales for Brighton Gardens of Columbia. Years ago, we made the leap of faith to move my father in law here in assisted living. Through my frequent visits I grew to love the staff, who treated my beloved with such kindness, dignity and patience that it often brought me to tears. Seeing their joy in service inspired me to start a new career path right here at Sunrise. Six years later, I’m still here, surrounded by the same sweet souls who love to take care of our residents. I love to read, travel and go hiking with my family!"
