Sunrise at West Essex

Sunrise of West Essex is one of the best senior living facilities out there! My dad's time spent there was exceptional! He was a high level of care and always got the care that he needed from the staff at Sunrise of West Essex. My mom will need to go into memory care in the near future and after looking at several other facilities, she too will be at Sunrise of West Essex. Their price point is high, but so is their care level, and they have an exceptional staff.

I want to say a big Thank you to the Whole Crew at Sunrise,the place feels like home once you walk through that door,I’m a private aide for one of the residents and I was care for like a staff and am so grateful for that. The place always smells good ,good working environment,.the residents are well kept including their space ,their is no foul smell on the floor I am on and so on . A big thank you to Miss Linda ,(the team manager). She is a good person and deserves that position cause she handle it well. She treat all staff in and out equally. Thank you team sunrise . Rabia. Keep up the good work . Everyone takes their job seriously as they are always one call away when ever you need an assistant

My husband and I toured the facility on behalf of my mother. Everything from the moment we walked in until the moment we left was above anything we expected. The staff was incredibly friendly, the resident seem very happy, it was clean, safe, cozy and warm. The varieties of housing options as well as the daily menu are exceptional. The activities an overall environment meet Mom’s needs. Not to mention the fresh warm, peach pie! What are 5-star experience! Needless to say, we brought Mom back the next day and she loved it!!

The Sunrise of West Essex in all categories I would rate a 5. My sister is well cared for, staff is great. When I'm there & leave I never have to worry because I know my sister is well cared for.

Even before my Dear Sister had the stroke she could be difficult at times. The staff gives be a weekly report and phones me if there are any concerns, they say she is adjusting well. BTW I used 3 sources to check out Sunrise they all gave me a positive review. The staff was very professional and answered all of my questions. The premises upon entering gives one a welcoming and home like appearance. Other facilities looked too dull, institutional and drab.

I really like this place The facility is beautiful and the care is excellent They do hire a young woman to come in for activities and she is excellent but only 2days a week The healthcare workers do activities with them but I wish there were more but this seems to be the case for all of these facilities This place is very pricey We now pay around $[removed] a month but the care is excellent and we have no other choice [community removed], which I thought was a poorly run facility, could not handle my mother's anxiety and required us to hire a one on one. We thought this was outrageous.

Sunrise West Essex was wonderful to [name removed]. Aides were very caring . From the Receptionist Carol to all of Administrators all I can say they were exceptional. Thank you for giving me the recommendation

Overall Sunrise West Essex is a solid place and a good notch above most places in the area for the money. They could use fresher ingredients on the food... maybe incorporate farm to table from local farmer's markets.
