How we’re responding as our vaccination rates rise.
Meet some of the members of our team here at Sunrise at Parma, OH.
We are extremely proud of our team of serving hearts. Our tenured department managers and our front line team has a combined 287 years of service at Sunrise. We’re thrilled to introduce you to a few of these fantastic team members.
“I have been serving residents at Sunrise since 2003, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I love the interaction with residents, families and team members and I champion the Sunrise mission each day. It is a tremendous gift to demonstrate Joy in Service each day at Sunrise.
“After obtaining a degree in Social Work, I began my journey with Sunrise in 2010. I served as a Designated Care Manger, Concierge, Activities Coordinator, and Director of Sales. I truly look forward to showcasing our resident-centered approach to care, and witnessing the peace of mind Sunrise brings to families and loved ones. It is such a joy to work with a welcoming and tenured team who celebrate our residents’ personalities and strive to improve their quality of life each and every day.
Aside from helping others in need, I thoroughly enjoy running in nice weather to revitalize myself, spending time with my husband and son, and walking our three dogs. Most people know that I also enjoy traveling to new countries or embracing new cultures.”
“I have been working with Sunrise Senior Living since 2008. I started as a care manager and worked my way to become the Reminiscence Coordinator.
I enjoy working one-on-one with our residents using individualized life skills. Watching their faces light up when engaging in an activity is by far the best part of my day. Sunrise has become my second family and I love working with each and every one of our team members.
In spend my spare time with my own family. My daughter and I enjoy getting out into nature, going hiking or visiting the beach to collect ‘special’ items.”
“I have been with Sunrise since 2009, and all of these years have made me a well-rounded team member. I’ve enjoyed my various roles, including lead care manager and Reminiscence supervisor, and have learned new skills from each role.
My favorite part of my current role is its resident-centered nature. I enjoy fulfilling, meaningful activities with my residents; it’s really a rewarding position for me. The best part about working at Sunrise is my Sunrise family. Sunrise at Parma really is my home away from home.
In my spare time, I enjoy coaching and playing softball, as well as playing volleyball. Most people who know me know that I’m an avid reader, as well; I love fiction novels! Spending quality time with my husband is also very important to me.”
“I have been with Sunrise Since 2007. I started as a Care Manager and worked my way to being the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator.
My favorite part of my job is sharing and being involved in our resident’s Live with Purpose and Meaningful Activities. I enjoy watching them participating and seeing the big smiles on their faces during our activities. My favorite part of being at Sunrise is my Sunrise family, it is definitely my second home!
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our cat “mo.” If you asked anyone about my favorite hobby, they would say antique picking with my husband!”
“I have worked for Sunrise since 2009—as a care manager, wellness nurse, and now as the Resident Care Director. Prior to my current position, I worked in a skilled nursing setting as a charge nurse to help sharpen my skills.
My favorite part of my job is helping the residents maintain optimal health. I love the peace of mind that comes with knowing that our residents received the best care possible by our team at Parma. It feels good to be 100 percent confident that our residents are safe and loved by all team members.
Spending time getting to know our residents is just one of the many reasons why I love working for Sunrise. Being a part of a strong, wonderful, family-like team makes the days fly by! All of us know what to do when the time is needed, and we work together to achieve our main goal: to champion the quality of life for all seniors.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my adorable nephews, fiancé and family.”
"I have previous experience at The Ritz Carlton, Heinen's Fine Foods, and A Taste Of Excellence. I like making the residents smile. My day isn't complete unless I make someone's day. I volunteer my time being a leader in my son's Cub Scout Pack and my daughter's Scout BSA Troop.
I am a Cooking Merit Badge Counselor, which is an Eagle ranked requirement. I love Star Wars, video games, and flying stunt kites. I try and create a positive environment at home and at work."
