Kerri joined Sunrise in 2010 as a Reminiscence coordinator and became a executive director in 2011. She has a master’s degree in social work and experience working with seniors in home and community settings, as well as long-term care.
She feels that working at Sunrise of Abington is so much more than a 'job', and feels honored each time she gets to walk into Sunrise of Abington and knows that she is walking into a place that residents call home. Kerri has been fortunate to have met and developed relationships with so many wonderful residents and family members through the years. She also enjoys leading a great group of team members who are passionate and committed to bringing Sunrise’s mission to life each and every day.
She enjoys working for Sunrise knowing there is a strong commitment to quality care as well as quality of life for our residents. Kerri loves to see the residents enjoying the programs, or taking trips to the theater or museum, or simply sitting with other residents talking about where they all grew up. She feels a definite sense of community among the residents, families, and team members.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as trying out the newest restaurants in Philadelphia.
Gary is proud to say he has seven years of service with Sunrise Senior Living as a cook. Gary enjoys satisfying the residents’ preferences when they request special orders. “It makes me feel good to know I can accommodate their individual needs,” Gary said.
Gary’s favorite part of his job is seeing the smiles on the residents’ faces. Gary’s love for music is a positive infectious spirit among the residents and his fellow team members.
Ethan celebrated 12 years with Sunrise of Abington in June 2016. He started out in the dietary department after graduating high school. After some years, he was able to take on the role as driver.
Ethan is appreciative of the opportunity to have one-on-one time with the residents. “Transporting the residents gives me the opportunity to really learn about our residents’ histories. I sometimes call it ‘taxi cab confessions.’”
Ethan is an avid sports watcher and a dedicated Philadelphia sports fan.
In his roles, he has implemented extensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs, prepared facilities for state, life safety, and HUD inspections, and oversaw the total renovation of multiple facilities.
