In 2005, while searching for a community for her father who was living with dementia, Kathy visited Sunrise and fell in love with the Reminiscence neighborhood. A few months later, she was offered a job at Sunrise of Pikesville, MD. With her extensive background in sales and marketing, she joined the team as the director of sales with the singular mission of making a difference in the lives of seniors.
Kathy then transitioned to the executive director role at Sunrise a Montgomery Village, before accepting the same position at the new Sunrise of Chevy Chase community.
Since starting at Sunrise, Kathy has found a way to help a resident, family member, guest, or volunteer each day, which she finds very fulfilling.
Ron has been with Sunrise since 2015 having started his Sunrise career at Sunrise at Montgomery Village where he worked for two years, prior to transitioning to Sunrise of Chevy Chase. His experience lies in home healthcare and hospice.
Ron truly believes in our mission and loves that his role allows him to bring Sunrise to more people by demonstrating to seniors and their families all that Sunrise has to offer.
Ron is a father to two children and loves spending his free time with them, as well as at the gym and outdoors.
Brittney started her career with Sunrise in 2014 as an activities assistant where she fell in love with the residents and the culture of Sunrise Senior Living. Through Sunrise growth opportunities, she followed the sales rout in hopes to help families find the best community for their loved ones. Her favorite thing about working as a Director of Sales for Sunrise is the opportunity to help families make one of the hardest decisions of their life.
Brittney believes in the Sunrise core values and finds the best thing about working for Sunrise is their genuine best interest in their residents and their willingness to help grow and train the members of their team.
In her spare time, Brittney enjoys spending time with her two adorable bull dogs and her loving fiancé, as well as taking time to visit with friends and family.
Amanda began working for Sunrise as a Life Enrichment Manager in 2015 at Sunrise of Montgomery Village. Prior to her work with Sunrise, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Towson University for Family and Human Services and began her journey towards a Master’s degree in Gerontology. It was through her education and her time as a Life Enrichment Manager that she decided she wanted to help families find the best place for their loved ones to call home.
Amanda believes the best part of working for Sunrise is their belief in providing the best possible care for their residents and their ability to inspire and grow team members. Her favorite part of the job is being able to learn the stories of the families she works with and watch as they help transform their lives.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys being outdoors with her family, taking trips with her friends, and playing fetch with her new puppy.
"I have worked at Sunrise since 2009 and have served in my current position since 2013. I’ve worked as a life enrichment manager and Terrace Club coordinator. I enjoy spending time with residents and seeing how we all affect their lives.
The best part of working at Sunrise is all the training that is offered to better equip us to help our residents.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys and watching movies.”
Catherine had been a nurse at Sunrise at Montgomery Village since July of 2006 until her move to Sunrise of Chevy Chase in 2017. Before joining Sunrise, she worked as a nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD.
Catherine says her favorite part of her job is having the privilege to care for our residents during difficult times in their lives. For the residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia, she appreciates being able to travel on their journey with them. According to Catherine, the team environment is what sets Sunrise apart. The residents and families know and trust that they have made the best decision in allowing Sunrise to care for their loved one.
During her spare time, Catherine loves to spend time with her family and children, cook, and volunteer in the children's ministry at her church.
"Greetings. My name is Gladine Dennis, Business Office Coordinator, Sunrise of Chevy Chase. I’ve worked for Sunrise since the summer of 2017. I have over 15 years of management, operations, and human resources experience. I also possess a recent Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management.
My favorite part of my role as Business Office Coordinator is the variety of experiences that I’m exposed to each day. The best part of working at Sunrise is working for a company that believes in the investment in training their team members to be the best they can be – investing in their communities through charity and investing in the lives of their residents by providing the best experience for each resident.
