My mother in law Jean Coffey was a resident of yours for 4 years. We found the level of care she received was exceptional. She was treated with dignity and respect, all her medical requirements were met on a timely basis. The Facility was very well maintained and nice furnishings. The staff was very professional and friendly. We received unsolicited recommendations from people who lived there. Only concern was understanding the cost structure and the bottomline monthly cost. They did say they would assess my mother and provide more detail based on her needs.

Our mother has been a resident of Sunrise San Mateo for one year. Throughout the past year, including when my mother suffered some health setbacks, the staff has been consistently kind, conscientious, experienced, and caring. Our family could not ask for better support and communications. When asked, staff have made great recommendations (e.g. on a doctor, on clothing needs, social activities, etc.). When my mother has struggled with health issues they have collaborated with her doctor and other medical professionals, and initiated progress reports to us. My mother, who was not inclined toward assisted living at first, has settled in and now enjoys the personal attention and support she is receiving. We recommend Sunrise of San Mateo highly.

I'm in the community every month and get an opportunity to have lengthy conversations with the residence. They seem happy and satisfied with all that the community offers them. They're all very fortunate to have so many people make sure that they're days are filled with happy things they do and share.

The place is lovely and well appointed, however, during the tour nothing was mentioned about the over [Amount Removed] one time fee besides the over [Amount Removed] a month for assisted living. Unfortunately my 95 year old aunt does not have that kind of money. Wish she did.

We have committed to moving there this month. Everybody was responsive to our needs. We also observed mostly smiling residents.

Two things: the excellent care my friend is receiving and the kindness of all the very hard workers. It's a huge adjustment for the resident. My friend has been there since last [Date Removed] My friend needs alot of care and I have never seen one person get impatient with her. The residents are friendly and content. When I looked at Brighton Gardens the staff was friendly and helpful, to be expected. What really sold me was the friendliness of the residents. They seemed cared for and overall, content.

My Mother-in-law was comfortable there (she passed away in February). The staff were wonderful to her and she enjoyed the food.

We are very happy with our aunt's large 2-room unit at Sunrise with lots of large windows. She doesn't want to be there and often complains about the quality of the food (but she would probably complain about any place since she only wants to be "home"). Most of the staff have been very helpful and responsive to any of our concerns. However, we've had trouble with the business department and getting ACH payments to properly process. There are occasional group outings that our aunt enjoys, but she refuses to participate in the many activities offered at the facility. We are happy with Sunrise and feel it is a good fit for our aunt.

My caregivers are great, the food is good and I love having assistance with my showers. Exercise us always fun.
