Executive Director

“I truly believe that I work with the best company in assisted living. I have grown through the ranks, starting my career at Sunrise as a concierge, and holding several other coordinator positions over the last ten years. After completing our Executive Director in Training Program, I earned my Assisted Living Administrators License and have been an Executive Director since 2017. I share this story because it is one of the reasons I love working for Sunrise. – The opportunity for growth. One of my passions is helping team members to realize their dreams and growing within Sunrise! 

The other reason I love working for Sunrise is that “second paycheck”…the honor of getting to know and help care for all the residents that we interact with on a daily basis. Our mission is To Champion the Quality of Life for ALL Seniors”, and I am so proud of the compassionate care that the team here at Sunrise of Falls Church gives each and every resident. It is my pleasure to have the opportunity to be a part of this team!

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my two beautiful daughters.”

"I started working at Sunrise in December 2016. Prior to Sunrise, I worked as a Leasing Consultant & Event Sales/Marketing Manager. I have 12 years of experience within the sales, marketing, and customer/client relationship industry.

My favorite part about my job is having the opportunity to meet new people & learn about their life experiences, backgrounds & history. It gives so much more meaning to what I do daily. The best part of working at Sunrise is being able to be a part of the resident’s lives & helping them to create/build new, fun and exciting memories.

In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, listening to music, and spending time with my family, including my two dogs, Dutchess & Kynko."

Resident Care Director

"Started working at Sunrise in November 2018. Prior to Sunrise I worked as a Recreational Therapist in multiple healthcare settings, including Assisted Living, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing, and Inpatient Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant. I also have experience in developing and implementing several activities programs within these healthcare settings.

My passion has always been focusing on the needs and desires of the individuals I am working with to ensure that they receive stimulating engagement opportunities and high quality care each and every day.

The best part of my job is getting to spend each day with our residents who have so many life lessons and stories to share, and so much life left to explore! My focus is to enrich lives every day, and each day, the residents enrich my life as well.

My husband and I enjoy spending time with our two dogs Vala (Great Dane) and Kazu (Siberian Husky), rooting for our favorite sports teams, and experiencing all that the Metro DC area has to offer!"

Dining Services Coordinator

"Cooking has always been my passion, even when I was a young boy. I love to experiment and cook all manner of cuisine and difficulty. I’ve been cooking professionally for almost 10 years with 6 of those years being in assisted living. Sunrise was my first Assisted Living job and I was happy to come back to this great company. Aside from dining, I love interacting and having fun with the residents in activities or just having conversations in the Bistro. The most exciting part of my job is when we get to put on awesome events for the residents. Whether it’s a Holiday or a big party, seeing everyone happy makes me happy.

When I am at home I love to cook, play games, and spend time with my family."
