Logan Stoodley

Executive Director

Logan began his career with Sunrise in 2017. Since then he has held numerous positions with Sunrise —including working as a care manager, assisted living coordinator, associate executive director, and most recently, executive director. “My favorite part of my job is helping both residents and families find the right senior living support. However, what I truly love most is the daily interactions I have with my residents and how much spending time with them feels like a gift and does not feel like a job. “ “When I am not at work, I enjoy watching sports, staying active and spending time with my English Bulldog, Brewer.”

Director of Sales

"I truly find such joy in working with Seniors. I was incredibly close to my grandparents and cherish my memories with them. Every evening, my grandfather would automatically hold my hand while we ate dinner, I can still feel his hand in mine. He was such a presence in my life. Helping families along in this process with their loved ones is truly fulfilling. Getting to know every resident, learning about their stories is such an incredible experience of which I get to participate in every day. I joined Sunrise in 2020 with a background in the hotel industry and real estate. Originally from Colorado, I have now called Falls Church home for 18 years. I have a wonderful husband and three amazing kids and a deep love for photography. You will rarely catch me without a camera during my off time!

In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my 3 kids and a deep passion for photography."

Resident Care Director

"I am a graduate of George mason University. I live in Alexandria Virginia with my husband and two kids. I decided that I will become a nurse because my mom was always sick and needed someone to take care of her. I love being a nurse and I have always wanted to work with the geriatric population. I choose to work with Sunrise because of the outstanding job they do. They have good customer services and have always put their resident first before anything. The quality of care provided by this company is excellent. In my free time, I love traveling, dancing, and spending time with my family."

Dining Services Coordinator

"I remember the days as a young boy living in the island of Jamaica watching my mother making our cultured food with recipes she inherited from her mother. Once I started cooking with my mother using Granny’s recipes, I knew right away I wanted to be a chef. After I graduated from Tilden High School in New York. I decided to attend the Culinary Institute of America, in Hyde Park New York. There I was awarded my Culinary Degree and had the pleasure of meeting JW Marriott. We went deep in conversation about my goals in becoming an executive chef, not realizing I was being interviewed. At the end of our conversation; Mr. Marriott said call me after graduation. Two weeks later after graduation I know my next move was moving to Maryland.

I began working as the executive chef at Marriott Test Kitchen where we created signature recipes which is still in use within the Marriott hotels all over the world. In 1995 I was transfer to the Marriott Healthcare sector at Holy Cross Hospital as the director of dining services. Four years later I had another transfer to Knollwood Senior living, as well as Five Star Senior Living. During 31 years of my career I was awarded first place 3 consecutive years for international cuisine in Europe. Champion Iron chef in the Metropolitan area for the Taste of Senior competition in Washington DC. . I remember a few years ago one of my resident asked me what do I like about cooking? My honest answer was watching you enjoying my food. Some of my favorite cuisines to make include Caribbean, European, Asian and Italian. During my free time I continue to create recipes at home with my baby girl, apprentice Shaolin Kempo. Looking back of my life I can proudly say I AM. SUNRISE!!!!"

Please feel free to share any suggestions you may have or to just briefly enlighten me on what your loved one may like to see more of."
