“Sunrise is where I am supposed to be. I come to ‘work’ every day and get to experience people who care about other people. I came to Sunrise in 1999 from the home health industry. I always wanted to work for Sunrise because of its reputation for being the best. Working with seniors comes naturally to me. It's never been challenging.
I have been with Sunrise of Frisco since 2011 and love each day. As a Frisco resident, I love to see my families out and about, whether it’s at the high school football games or the grocery store. Seeing my families outside of Sunrise makes me feel even closer to them.
Starting out as the Assisted Living Coordinator and moving into the Executive Director role was a natural progression. This work chose me, I did not choose it. My joy in service can be seen by the way I communicate with families, interact with my staff and care for my residents. It's an honor to work for a company with such great values and beliefs.”
"I have been a team member at Sunrise since 2016. My favorite part of my job is working with families to move their loved one into a community that is compassionate, loving, and one that puts their loved one's care above everything else. The best part of working at Sunrise is simply being able to see the smiles and laughter coming from the residents as they are spending time with their new Sunrise friends.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching my youngest daughter play club volleyball."
"I have been with Sunrise since July 2019. Before that I have worked as an ICU nurse, neurology and cardiopulmonary, a Radiology Nurse Manager, worked in skilled and infusion nursing, however I come to Sunrise from the Home Health industry where I have managed personal care givers to many seniors in their homes.
My favorite part of my job is using my training to impact wellness outcomes and maintaining a level of dignity throughout all life phases in my residents.
The best part about working for Sunrise is working with a truly compassionate team to provide resident centered care and assisting my residents in living their best lives."
"After almost 20 years in the field of Environmental Health Regulations, I seized the opportunity to follow my heart. I joined the Sunrise team in February 2018. Having a nurse as a mother, our home was the place where many came for loving care. It was inevitable that the seeds she planted would grow. Leaving a job, to pursue my passion, allows me to fill my day caring for and loving our seniors.
I enjoy spending time with the residents and team members where making the best of each moment is our focus. Listening to the residents share their stories, their fears and their unfiltered jokes is the most endearing part of my day.
When I’m apart from our Sunrise residents, I take time to read, write, and travel."
"I’ve been with Sunrise of Frisco since December 2019. Prior to joining Sunrise, I worked in case management and administration in a residential setting, serving adults with disabilities.
Building relationships with each resident is the best part of my job. Listening to their stories or simply sitting with them as they share what’s on their hearts, is such an honor for me. Spending time with my residents and my team, makes it a joy to come to work each day.
The best part about working at Sunrise, is working alongside a group of people who genuinely care for our residents and are passionate about it. It’s such a privilege to be part of a team who comes together and delivers the best for each resident."
"I have been in the Accounting industry for over 23 years with specialized training in Medical Billing. I knew when I came to Sunrise of Frisco in 2011 that it would become my forever home and that it was here I was being called to.
I love that I get to come to work every day and ‘do what I do’ but then have the ability to come out of the office and visit with our residents. The bond that I get to build with them is indescribable, and I feel I could never truly give back enough compared to what they give to me. Whether it is deadlines or trying to focus on my daily assignments, they are always there to check in on me and say hi or make sure I am not working too hard. It feels good to know that they care so much for us as well.
The Sunrise’s Principles of Service are what keep me here. Knowing that our residents are treated with dignity, and that we focus on their mind, body and spirit. I believe in the culture of Sunrise, and I am proud to say I am part of that.
In my spare time, I like to be at home hanging out by the pool with my spouse, our kids, and our dog. I love to decorate and am always trying my best to make our home our castle."
