"I have worked for Sunrise for 5 years. I have worked in the Senior Living Industry for overs 10 years as a care giver and in nursing as an RN.
My favorite part of the job is providing care and assistance to our residents as well as interacting with our care givers. The best part about working at Sunrise is that Sunrise provides me with the best of both worlds in terms of a small home-like environment and the ability to tap into the vast resources that a large, seasoned organization can provide. As an Executive Director, I have support 24/7 which is vital when you need access to a well-designed training program for care givers or the latest methodologies in activity programming for Seniors.
In my spare time I love being with my church community, reading and traveling with my husband."
Morgan joined Sunrise of Lafayette Hill in January of 2019. Previously a National Marketing Specialist in the non-profit Industry, Morgan brings sales, marketing, and administrative experience to the community.
Morgan’s position includes helping prospective families find a place for their loved one- and guiding them through the move-in process. Her favorite part about the job is simply being a presence in the community and pitching in where she is needed.
Working at Sunrise of Lafayette Hill allows Morgan to meet residents from all walks of life, something she considers extremely rewarding.
In her spare time, Morgan enjoys traveling with her husband, participating in yoga classes, and hanging out with family and friends.
"I have been a nurse for 26 years, and I have worked for Sunrise for the last 11 years. I began my career as an LPN working with adults who had developmental disabilities. While working as an LPN, I continued my education and earned my RN. I transitioned into skilled nursing in both Philadelphia and Dallas, Texas hospitals. I worked in Critical Care, Mental Health and Rehabilitation specialties. My calling however, was serving the elderly. This I realized, during my first Gerontology rotation in nursing school, but I knew that gaining hospital experience was something I needed to do first.
My favorite part of my job is having the opportunity to be a part of a resident’s life, especially when they share their wealth of knowledge and life experiences. I find it rewarding to assist them in their personal care, and I enjoy building a relationship with them and their families.
The best part about working for Sunrise is knowing that I work for a company whose mission statement and philosophy align with mine. Sunrise is always striving to “champion the quality of life of all seniors".
Most of my spare time is spent with my husband and 14-year-old son, who plays for a travel soccer team, which keeps us busy. I like reading books of different genres such as historical fiction, science fiction, biographies and mysteries. Additionally, I try to find time to exercise and further my medical and administrative knowledge by taking career enhancing classes”.
"I have been with Sunrise since 2001 and started as a Concierge. My favorite part of this job is the friends and relationships that I have made over the years with team members and residents. I am a nurturer by nature and and I find helping residents and team members rewarding. I look forward to being here another 10 years. The best part of working at Sunrise is watching my front line team members mature, grow and advance within the Sunrise community. Equally rewarding is watching the residents interact and develop their own great friendships. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, hiking and spending time with my family. My grandbabies light up my world!"
"September 2020 will be my 20th year at Sunrise. I have over 25 years’ experience with building maintenance, formally a fire fighter 12 years’ experience has helped me understand the safety aspect of my job much better.
My favorite part of the job is being challenged every day as you never know what to expect. The best part of working at Sunrise I would say knowing I have made a difference in someone’s day has allowed me to know I’m doing good. No matter what the day has in store for me.
In my spare time I enjoy working with my hands, running, spending time with family. Also volunteering as an EMT for the last 12 years."
"I’ve been with Sunrise for a little over 5 years. I started as a Care Manager and then became a Lead Care Manager. From there, I was promoted to a Reminiscence Coordinator.
My favorite part about my job is watching the residents overcome daily challenges with the help of the team members. Every day I get the opportunity to live out the mission statement and put a smile on each of our resident’s faces. I enjoy assisting and connecting with the residents, even if it’s only for 15 minutes at breakfast and over a cup of coffee. The residents in our memory care neighborhood have taught me patience through validation techniques. The best part about working at Sunrise is the culture. I get the opportunity to work with an amazing group of people every day. I get to build strong relationships with the residents and the team members. Everyone at Sunrise is always willing to assist wherever and whenever. The ability to grow with the company is endless.
In my spare time, I am a full-time mother of 4 kids. I enjoy taking my kids to the park and for rides around the city. I enjoy crocheting blankets."
"I joined the Sunrise team in 2018 and spent 25 years as a consultant with Verizon. The best part of working at Sunrise is being able to spend time with the residents and meeting new families. In my spare time, I like to read, travel and shop."
