“I started my career with Sunrise Senior Living in March of 2014 after I graduated from Weber State University with my masters in Health Care Administration.
The thing I love the most about my job is hearing the residents call our community their home, I am proud to know that I had a part in making them feel at home. The best part about working at Sunrise is forming relationships with our amazing residents and being surrounded by professional care givers who come to work and share their compassion day after day.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to new places and experiencing new cultures with my wife and five kids.”
“I started working in the senior living industry in 2008 and immediately found out that I had a passion for helping seniors. I began my career with Sunrise Senior Living in 2013 as a Designated Care Manager, and I was promoted to the Director of Sales in 2016.
The most rewarding part of my job is offering a solution to families, whether it is in the form of Sunrise or another resource. I enjoy witnessing the relief that seniors and their loved ones experience after making the transition into our community. My coworkers and residents have become an extension of my family and that is what I love most about my job.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, traveling, and spending time outdoors.”
“My career started as a young Certified Nursing Assistant in a memory care community where I worked with Alzheimer's and dementia residents for 3 years, this is where I really fell in love with seniors. I then took some time from work and school, where my intention was to become a nurse and focused on starting my family while doing foster care. In 2011 I pushed forward and decided to pursue my life long goal to become an Nurse and since graduating have worked with youth in treatment as well as seniors in skilled nursing.
My decision to join Sunrise in 2018 as the Resident Care Director was solely based off my love that never left for my seniors, each day I light up when I get the opportunity to see our residents smile. I enjoy hearing about their lives and being there to support them through the good and bad days. It truly makes me happy to be a part of their journey while here at Sunrise.
Outside of work my family is everything, traveling with and enjoying precious time with my 5 children and their spouses & spending every moment I can with my grand babies is my love in this amazing life.”
“I began working for Sunrise Senior Living in 2005 as a Designated Care Manager at a community in California. After my family and I moved to Utah, I started working at Sunrise of Sandy as a lead care manager in our assisted living neighborhood. In October of 2016, I was promoted to the Reminiscence Coordinator, and in March of 2021, I was promoted to the Resident Care Coordinator. I love the Sunrise mission and our resident-centered care philosophy.
Spending time getting to know the residents and their families makes my work worthwhile each day. I live in Saratoga Springs with my husband and two beautiful children.”
“In 2014, I started my career with Sunrise as a Designated Care Manager. After a few years, I was promoted to the Reminiscence Coordinator at Sunrise of Holladay and loved the relationships I was able to build with our residents and families. I transitioned back to Sunrise of Sandy in 2018 as the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator and absolutely love my job!
My love for the residents and my desire to make each day great for them is my motivating force. I love to see their smiles and know that the activities we provide are increasing the quality of their lives. I am married with two wonderful teenage sons and live close by in Sandy.”
“I started at Sunrise in 2007 as the Maintenance Coordinator but have been in the industry for 19 years. I started in this industry purely by accident. When I retired from Kennecott Copper Mine, I saw a part time maintenance position for a rehab facility and I fell in love.
The friendships I have made with the residents and family’s just make my day. I love knowing that I help give them a safe, warm home to live in and they can count on me with any maintenance or safety concerns.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and family and cheering on the San Francisco 49ers!”
“I have been working in Senior Living since 2001 and started my career with Sunrise of Sandy as the Business Office Manager in January of 2013.
I love it here and feel so fortunate to be working for such a great company. The thing I love most about working here is visiting with the residents every day. Being able to get to know them and their families is really a special experience. This community has become an extension of my home, the residents and my co-workers are like family.
I live in Herriman with my husband and two beautiful daughters. We enjoy spending our time camping and taking weekend trips to Southern Utah.”
“In 2016 I took a part time position at Sunrise and immediately fell in love with the company. I was promoted to the Dining Service Coordinator at Sunrise of Sandy in 2018. I graduated from culinary school in 1999 and worked as an Executive Chef at various fine dining restaurants in the valley for 20 years!
As I started working for Sunrise I felt like I had come home and found a place where I could really contribute to the health and happiness of the residents. I work incredibly hard each day to make sure all of our residents have a pleasant dining experience with a delicious meal in front of them.
I am a Utah native and live in Salt Lake with my partner and our dogs.”
