Jeff Folsom

Executive Director 

“After earning a master’s degree in public health from Brigham Young University, I started my career in healthcare as a skilled nursing administrator in 2007. I have worked for Sunrise since June of 2011. 

My favorite part of being an Executive Director is interacting with all of the residents and team members. At Sunrise, we have the chance to serve and bring a smile to others. 

When I’m not at work, I like to spend time with my wife and four children. I like to run, bike, and play soccer with my kids. I spend a considerable amount of time serving in my church. I am an avid reader and always love learning something new!”

Director of Sales

“I started working in the senior living industry in 2008 and immediately found out that I had a passion for helping seniors.  I began my career with Sunrise Senior Living in 2013 as a Designated Care Manager, and I was promoted to the Director of Sales in 2016.

The most rewarding part of my job is offering a solution to families, whether it is in the form of Sunrise or another resource. I enjoy witnessing the relief that seniors and their loved ones experience after making the transition into our community. My coworkers and residents have become an extension of my family and that is what I love most about my job. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, traveling, and spending time outdoors.”

Jennie Bangerter 

Assisted Living Coordinator

“I began my career with Sunrise in 2008 as a care manager. I was quickly promoted to a lead care manager position and have been the Assisted Living Coordinator since 2015.  

I have been a certified nursing assistant since 2007 and chose to work at Sunrise because of the individualized care that the organization provides. I consider myself lucky to be able to come to work each day because I simply love my job. I value the relationships I’ve been able to build with the residents and families because of the profound impact they’ve made in my life. 

I live in Sandy with my three wonderful children.”

Reminiscence Coordinator

“I began working for Sunrise Senior Living in 2005 as a Designated Care Manager at a community in California. After my family and I moved to Utah, I started working at Sunrise of Sandy as a lead care manager in our assisted living neighborhood. I then transitioned to Assisted Living Coordinator and became Reminiscence Coordinator in October of 2016.

I love the Sunrise mission and our resident-centered care philosophy. Spending time getting to know the residents and their families makes my work worthwhile each day.

I live in Saratoga Springs with my husband and two beautiful children.”

Activities and Volunteer Coordinator 

“I began my career with Sunrise in the summer of 2012 as the Activities Assistant, learning from my predecessor.  I was then promoted to my current position of Activities and Volunteer Coordinator in the summer of 2013. I thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction I get from providing a fulfilling activities program to our residents. It is important to me that they have many options to personalize their experience here and that they have opportunities to find the activities that most interest them. 

I am passionate about the work that we do at Sunrise Senior Living, and I believe in the Sunrise mission with all of my heart. I feel blessed to have found a company I can be proud to be a part of. 

I live in Saratoga Springs with my husband.  We enjoy playing board games, spending time together as well as with our extended families, and cuddling with our sweet dog.”
