Welcome to our community! We're pleased to introduce you to some of the team members who make our community a wonderful place to call home.
"I joined the Sunrise family in 2005. I started at Sunrise as a Care Manager at Brighton Gardens of Lakewood, in Colorado. Over the past 14 years, I transferred to three different Sunrise communities. I held many roles, from Care Manager, Lead Care Manager, Medication Care Manager, Assisted living Coordinator and Reminiscence Coordinator at Sunrise of Plano. I successfully completed the Executive Director in Training Program and becoming a certified Validation Therapy Trainer. I look forward to many more opportunities to serve our residents and families, while growing within the Sunrise family.
What I love most about Sunrise is that everyone here is family; from our residents, their loved ones and our entire Sunrise team.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, sports, cooking and shopping."
"I have worked for Sunrise since 2011. I spent four years at Sunrise of Frisco before transferring to Sunrise of Plano in January of 2016, and I am happy to now be at Sunrise of Hillcrest! Working with families every day as they face the difficult decision of choosing senior living for themselves or a loved one, is both challenging and rewarding. Seeing residents settle into their Sunrise lifestyle and seeing an improvement in their quality of life, is why I love what I do.
I love working with such a wonderful team, who share the same passion for helping seniors and their families.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my two cats and two dogs."
"I became part of the Sunrise Team in July of 2019 and have worked in Senior Living for 2 years. I graduated from the University of Texas in Dallas with a marketing degree and have cherished my journey working with our wonderful Seniors.
I love being able to help families feel safe and secure when moving their loved ones into our community. With our residents at the center of everything we do at Sunrise, being able to see them flourish is what makes my job so rewarding.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring downtown Dallas and watching sports with my friends! Go Cowboys!"
"I started at Sunrise in August 2017. Throughout college, I led and participated in humanitarian clubs and healthcare initiatives in Nebraska. During my senior year, I did an internship as an Administrator in training at a local nursing home. This experience allowed me to build a strong management style and to be well versed in numerous departments within a healthcare facility. Shortly after, I obtained my Assisted Living Administrator license and worked as a Home Care Manger for two years before moving to Texas.
My favorite part of my job is coming to work everyday and making a positive impact in the lives of our residents. The best part of working at is being a part of a family atmosphere, which I see through how much everyone cares and are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty every single day.
"I have been with Sunrise since May 2018. I worked as a teacher before having four children of my own. In 2004, my husband’s job with Verizon brought us to Texas, and we plan on staying!
I have always been a nurturer especially to the seniors in my life. I was looking for a change which led me to senior living. I started as a caregiver and quickly moved into activities for the community. I took classes for activities with the elderly, with focus on those with dementia. I am so happy to be part of Sunrise. I feel that this company knows how to do things right. The residents are always first. My daily goal is to make each residents feel loved and important. I love what I do, I wouldn’t change careers for anything."
"I became part of the Sunrise Team in March of 2018. I have been in the senior living industry for five-plus years. My experience with seniors has been great. I have enjoyed learning each day about our residents here at Sunrise. Listening to them talk about their life time and all the wonderful things they did as young adults is truly amazing.
My favorite part about my job is knowing I can help others and provide them with resources they can benefit from. Acknowledging every Team Member and Family/ Resident is something I look forward to daily. I enjoy having the opportunity to know a little about each individual here at Sunrise. Building a relationship with almost every individual here at Sunrise, has really allowed me to look at things differently. Especially knowing that they feel comfortable speaking to me in general.
The best part about working for Sunrise is knowing that everyone is treated with Respect and Dignity. To me those are the most meaningful Principles of Sunrise, and I am proud to say that this team is well known for it.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and loved ones. I love to travel, and I love to shop during my days off."
“I have been with Sunrise since 2006 after retiring from Sperry.
My favorite part of my job is being able to make a difference in our residents’ lives on a daily basis. I enjoy working with the residents at Sunrise on Hillcrest.
In my spare time, I like to go kayaking, fishing, camping and swimming in the great state of Texas."
“I have been working in the kitchen since I was 19 years old and have been a member of the Sunrise team since 2010.
My favorite thing to cook is desserts, particularly fruit tarts. I love to make the residents feel special. When residents have really specific requests, I will go out and talk to them to make sure I’m making something they will want and like. I know it makes them feel special and it makes me feel good too.”
“I have been with Sunrise for the past 10 years after retiring from Sperry.
"I have been with Sunrise since 2007. I have a passion for serving senior, and I take care of my own mother outside of work.
I love to communicate with the residents and make them feel happy and safe. They rely on me to take care of them, and they trust me. In turn, I get so much joy from seeing our residents everyday and building relationships with them."
"My name is Jagger, and I am a 4 year old Great Pyrenees. I have lived at Sunrise on Hillcrest since I was 6 months old! I am also known to play outside in the mud and bushes!
I bring lots of love, comfort, and smiles to our community and am proud to be the face of Sunrise on Hillcrest. Stop by and say hello anytime…I will probably join you on your tour of our community. After all, I know all the best places to take a nap, find a snack, or get a belly rub!
