As our COVID-19 vaccination rates rise, we’re ready to welcome brighter days and expand activities and visitation for fully vaccinated residents.
When you arrive at The Carlisle, you will feel as if you’ve arrived at a friendly boutique hotel. Each of the approximately 100 residents in our intimate, warm environment greets one another by name, and there is a feeling of inclusion and sophistication.
When you join The Carlisle, you will experience a vibrant, active lifestyle with a slate of high-end amenities. This luxurious, maintenance-free lifestyle includes our dining program, led by our executive chef, Chris Sheldon. Chef Chris works with a diverse team of cooks and provides gourmet meals that are made to order.
If your care needs progress after move-in, as a Carlisle resident, you may remain in your apartment and receive assisted living services.
Our Medical Director, Dr. Michael Harper, is a Professor of Medicine and Clinician-Educator at UCSF. Dr. Harper attends on the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Unit of the San Francisco VA Medical Center, and he supervises fellows in the Community Living Center and geriatrics clinic.
As our Medical Director, Dr. Harper consults with the Resident Care Director and the Assisted Living Coordinator in support of health and medical services and programs at The Carlisle. He and his team are available to consult on health applications of potential new residents, to coordinate with residents’ physicians in complex cases, to assist in emergencies such as infectious disease outbreaks, to review residents’ medications with The Carlisle’s pharmacy provider, and to provide health education lectures and training for both residents and community team members. Dr. Harper is also available to accept Carlisle Residents, who meet certain criteria, as new patients.
When visiting our building, you will notice our community has a smaller, more intimate, and close-knit feeling than other retirement communities. Our many common areas are an extension of our residents’ private condominiums, and you will find gatherings in our Grand Room each night for coffee, a card game, a glass of wine, or an informal discussion. During the day, residents gather to discuss the day’s plans, read on their iPads, enjoy our coffee and tea service, or hear a planned lecture of local or global issues.
Our residents will tell you themselves that The Carlisle is a special, unique place to live. We would love to talk with you about what life is like in our community; feel free to give us a call and set up a time to come in, take a tour, and meet with our team.
Contact us about booking a tour. We look forward to speaking with you!
