How we’re responding as our vaccination rates rise.
Starting the day with smiles is what makes each day special.
Sara has served at the Lincroft community for the past seven years and is a co-facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association’s™ support group meetings. She has completed the CHHA training, LCM training and CDP course. Sara’s husband along with their two daughters, volunteer every other Saturday in the Reminiscence neighborhood where they assist with crafting projects, bowling and baking with a small group of residents. Sara also puts together the monthly activity calendar for Reminiscence residents and is often called upon to do one-on-one training with new Life Enrichment Managers.
Sara uses the Validation method in all interactions with residents and serves as co-leader in the community’s weekly friendship club meetings where she assists in designing programming to include community service projects and incorporate mind, body and spirit activities into the daily schedule along with exciting outings.
“Sara has the patience of a saint and is very organized. She plans trip outings and with gentle demeanor is able to make the experience exciting.”
