Meet some of the members of our team here at Sunrise at Fair Oaks, Virginia.
Martin has been with Sunrise for 6 years. He gets great satisfaction knowing that Sunrise provides a safe, caring and nurturing environment for seniors and provides family with the peace of mind that their loved ones are enjoying every day. Prior to coming to Sunrise Martin worked in the legal field for 10 years. When he’s not working he enjoys running, weights and long distance biking.
Chris joined Sunrise at Fair Oaks in September 2018. Before that, Chris was at the Alzheimer’s Association, National Capital Area Chapter.
My favorite part of the job is getting to know the residents and their families. Each person has their own story to tell, and it’s great fun to learn about their histories.
I like working at Sunrise because I see the care that we give each of our residents. It’s a home where I would have someone from my own family live.
In my spare time, I go to Nationals baseball games, play the drums, and hike in the National Parks.
Kerri’s favorite part of her job is seeing the residents, families and team members in a home environment as part of a big, happy, extended family. Kerri enjoys being a part of the Sunrise family and serving the Sunrise principles of Service. In her spare time she enjoys museums, movies, reading and playing softball. She loves playing with her fur babies (dogs and cats), Washington Nationals games, shopping and gardening.
Kym had been at Sunrise at Fair Oaks since before they opened their doors in 2001. Prior to joining the Sunrise team, she worked for Bay County Behavioral Health. Her favorite part of working at Sunrise is that every day she learns something new. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Joy has been with Sunrise for over 4 years. She was a wound care specialist prior to her RCD position with Sunrise. Joy brings her clinical knowledge to Sunrise to best serve our residents. Joy’s favorite part of working at Sunrise is getting to know the residents and their families. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her cats, Alpha Beta and Sigma. She also enjoys time with her family and friends. Joy likes to swim and exercise for a healthy lifestyle.
Jack transplanted from Arizona and joined Sunrise 5 years ago as a Dining Services Coordinator. He holds our mission “To Champion the Quality of Life for All Seniors”, close to his heart and it shows in the quality of food he prepares for his residents. When he has time, he loves to fish, hike and hunt.
