Antionette Doublin

Executive Director

“As Executive Director, I have the opportunity to truly ‘champion the quality of life for seniors.’  I have a bachelor’s degree in speech and language pathology and a master’s in healthcare administration.  One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is talking to my residents and learning about their amazing stories.

My grandmother had Alzheimer’s disease and watching her go through each phase of the disease was very difficult on my family.  After that experience, I vowed to make a difference in the lives of seniors.  I have a passion for working with older adults and I am excited about bringing Sunrise to more families.”

Assisted Living Coordinator

“I realized my fulfillment in helping seniors when I was the main care provider for my mom, who was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and my dad, who was diagnosed with dementia. During those trying months, I made it my mission to keep their spirits high and sense of self intact.  The time spent with them helped guide me to join the Sunrise of Springfield team and help others enjoy their golden years, which grew to be my passion.

I joined the team in 2004 ready to embark on a journey to help encourage independence and freedom of choice for our residents. The joy this brought me on a daily basis assisted in my growth with the company.  It has become my goal to ‘champion the quality of life for all seniors.’”

Reminiscence Coordinator

“I have had the privilege of meeting some great people along the way.  My time spent here at Sunrise has been nothing short of amazing; from providing care to Supreme Court judges to nurturing nurses and so much more.

Throughout the years, Sunrise has given me the opportunity to blossom in my career.  I’ve gained years of experience through this healthcare culture. I started out as a care manager.  For the past seven years, I have been successfully managing a full-service memory care neighborhood.  This includes facilitating training for on-boarding Reminiscence coordinators and life enrichment programming. Celebrating individuality is what I do!”

Activities and Volunteer Coordinator

“I have been the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator at Sunrise of Springfield since 2010.  I have had the pleasure of getting to know so many residents; making new memories and reliving old ones.  For example, one time we took some residents on a trip to the beach. Upon arriving, one resident was moved to tears. She said that she never thought she would get to put her toes in the sand again.  To this day, she still thanks me for making that dream a reality.  Is there a better reason to work for Sunrise than that?

I am so proud to work with a team of people who embody the Sunrise Principles of Service, and work together to help bring our seniors meaningful and memorable days through our Live with Purpose and Live with Fulfillment programming. You can feel the love and sense of family when you walk into our community. I look forward to making many more memories as I continue my career here at Sunrise.”
