Meet the Sunrise of Woodcliff Lake Team

Meet some of our exceptional team members here at Sunrise of Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

Grace Cosgrove–Team Member since 1998

Executive Director

“My career with Sunrise began more than 17 years ago as the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator at Sunrise of Old Tappan.  Throughout the years, I have also worked as the Reminiscence Coordinator at Sunrise of Old Tappan, Assisted Living Coordinator at Sunrise of Cresskill, and Executive Director at Brighton Gardens of Paramus and Sunrise of Paramus.

I really enjoy interacting with our residents.  I love talking with them and learning their life stories. At Sunrise, there is a distinct sense of community and family.  Sunrise is a second home to me.  I was fortunate to have my grandmother with me at Sunrise for eight years, and the memories I gained during that time are priceless.

When I am not at Sunrise, I am a very involved ‘dance mom’ and I run a nonprofit foundation that supports programs and causes in my local community.”

Sophia Fernandez–Team Member since 1997

Reminiscence Coordinator

“I have been with Sunrise since 1997.  I was a Care Manager, Medication Care Manager and a Lead Care Manager for many years.  Last year, I became the Reminiscence Coordinator and it has been a great experience. My favorite part of my job is helping others who need my support, my love and my attention.

Sunrise is a part of my family because of who I work with.  I have been able to grow and become a better person while working here. I love to spend time with my residents who need me the most.  I enjoy giving one-on-on attention.

Outside of work, I love to shop and spend time with my family!”

Robert Leone–Team Member since 2004

Assisted Living Lead Care Manager

“I am a Lead Care Manager and a Medication Care Manager. I’ve been a part of the Sunrise of Woodcliff Lake team for almost 11 years.

I took care of my parents who had cancer and Alzheimer’s for six years. My favorite part about working for Sunrise is making our residents laugh and seeing their smiles. I think of our residents as one big family. I love the way I feel when I’m able to help someone. The appreciation of the residents is priceless.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing in my band.”

Florentina Leonty–Team Member since 2006

Reminiscence Lead Care Manager

“I have been working with Sunrise since August 2006. Prior to becoming the Lead Care Manager, I served as a care manager, and it was my responsibility to nurture and care for my residents, as well as assist them with all of their physical and spiritual needs. During this time, I achieved my certification to become a medication care manager.

The best part of my job at Sunrise is putting a smile on the residents’ faces and making them laugh. I get paid to do what I love.  I love caring for the residents because they’re like my family.

When I’m not working, I’m love to relax at home, spend time with my family and go shopping.”
