At Sunrise, we recognize the importance of a healthy diet. All of the meals served at Sunrise on Hillcrest are prepared from scratch using local, fresh ingredients. Our in-house chef, Joel Romero, has been working in the kitchen since 1995, when he was just 19 years old.
Joel focuses on honoring each resident’s requests and strives to prepare meals that they will enjoy and that meet their specific nutritional needs. Joel’s specialty is fresh desserts – and his famous fruit tart is a favorite amongst the residents at Sunrise on Hillcrest.
