Tracey Borges, Executive Director

Tracey Borges

Executive Director

“I have worked in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years. I am inspired by Sunrise’s dedication to service of their residents.

Working at Sunrise means knowing that I am helping my residents and their families live life to the fullest -That’s a rewarding feeling.”

Katrina Labayen

Associate Executive Director

“I’m fortunate enough to have been with Sunrise since 2017. Before becoming the AED at Brighton Gardens of Edison, I briefly worked as the Associate Director of sales in Brighton Gardens of Middletown. The most fulfilling part of my day is sharing coffee and stories with our residents in the morning. I’m grateful to work on the Sunrise team and I can’t imagine starting off the day with a better group of individuals.

Outside of the community, I’m an avid salsa dancer, foodie, and traveler (my most recent trip was to Spain!). I’m constantly encouraged by our residents here to enjoy life’s little moments. While I strive to deliver quality care to our residents, I truly believe that the wisdom and memories they share with me in return make coming to work more enjoyable.”

“I have more than 20 years of social work experience—working as an adult daycare consultant and a medical social worker—and joined the Brighton Gardens of Edison team in 2005.

The best part of working at Sunrise is embracing the Principles of Service and demonstrating these values each day. I take pride in empowering our residents and working to make a difference in their lives.”

BG of Edison Team Member Debbie Hills

Deborah Hills

Reminiscence Coordinator

“I began my career in senior living in 1993 as a Certified Nursing Assistant and joined the Sunrise team in 2009. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse and have worked in our skilled nursing, Reminiscence, and assisted living neighborhoods.

The Validation Method is an innovative approach that Sunrise has adopted to care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia; I enjoy training my care managers on these techniques and supporting their growth.”
